homebirth in Mt. Tabor, portland, ob backup recommendations?

Hi,
I am thinking about doing a home birth in the Mt. Tabor area of Portland, Or.
I would like to find a backup OB at Providence hospital, since it is only a 5 minute drive from our house.
Can anyone recommend someone?

Thanks,
Renee

I'd suggest posting in the Oregon Finding Your Tribe forum, and good luck!

I would encourage you to reconsider a back up OB. We have some amazing MW in this area and really if you only plan to transfer in a true emergency, your MW will help you figure out where to go and who to see (thankfully they are fully legal here so they can go with you, etc. and at least act as a doula).

I just think a back up OB causes more problems than it is worth. Just my two cents though...
