Ugh. My LO is sick with a fever, so I maynot have O'd when I thought I did. Plus I was up a ton last night, so my temp today isn't reliable. Oh well.

Hi all. Back from my grandma's funeral and just checking in. I didn't really chart when I was gone but I've temped since Sunday and this morning's temp was the highest I've had since I started temping again PP. Maybe I finally ovulated...but probably not. We'll see what tomorrow's looks like.

So I decided to do an internal check and found a bunch of sticky/creamy where I was totally dry externally. Interesting. I wonder how many days I have been that way when I thought I was dry. Do I need to continue to check internally to really establish my BIP?

I always check internally, up high at the cervix. That's what I read is most accurate and since I started that way, I just keep it up. For the most part, what I feel externally or sweep on the TP is usually pretty similar to what I feel way up at the cervix. Occasionally, though, it is different.

Poor bubbers. Hope he's feeling better soon.

I expected my temp to be higher this morning because I was boiling hot when I woke up but it was about the same as it has been. I'm finding my pre-O temps seem to be higher in general than my other thermometer. At some point I'd like to try temping with both and see if they should the same.

What are the different thermometers?

I use a BD basal thermometer and love it. I have 3 or 4, I think. I tried a generic one, WalMart brand, I think, but didn't like it. It didn't beep to let me know it was working. It didn't light up so I could see my temp in the dark. I can't remember if it had any memory.

I think checking CF internally is probably safer since you can have more fertile CF at the cervix. I have always checked internally in the past but then would most times have weeks of fertile CF. This cycle I'm checking only externally to see if my CF data lines up better with my O. So far, I've only had one day of ewcf on cd26 then creamy and today completely dry (cd28). My temp dropped today, though, rather than rising so I'm still waiting to O.

I had a pretty big temp spike this am. I'm trying not to get too excited about it because it could just be a fluke. However, if it is O, it's right around my previous regular O time. Also, my CF aligns with it better and I had obvious (possible) O pains.

After seeing my temp this am, I couldn't go back to sleep. Do you all get that excited/anxious about it all? I can't wait to see what the next 2 days bring.

I don't know if I get excited perse, but I do wake up enough that I can't fall back asleep if I have a temp that makes me think.

That's usually how I am too. The last time I'd get really excited. Now this time that I'm learning so much more about charting, I think I get excited just about every morning... trying to analyze it all.

Well, crapiola. I now don't think I Oed. My temp was lower this morning plus I had some creamy CF late yesterday.

Sorry about that Marine Wife. I hope that things start going the way you want them to.

I am going to be mostly out of the loop for awhile, as we are on the road this week. Next week is a busy week at Disney World, so hopefully things will keep chugging along. I am soooo thankful AF came a few days earlier than I expected, so I don't have to worry about that while we're at DW!

Bare with me ladies. I'm probably going to bore you to death with obsessing over my first few cycles. I just checked and found a BUNCH of stretchy cf, but still none externally (which is not usually the case for me) so I am wondering if it might be pre-O cf? Anyone patient enough to check my chart again and see if my temps might be indicating that?

Temps cannot predict O. They only confirm O after the fact. CF can tell you when you are potentially fertile or about to O and that would be the stretchy kind. It could still be several days before you O after starting to get stretchy or ewcf.

I totally get excited. I thought I was just a nerd. I've always loved watching it all play out, but now with really trying to avoid, I look forward to the three high temps. Because I know my little time of worry free sex is coming.

I'm 9 DPO and my temp was still up this morning. I haven't had this long of an LP/third phase in four years.

Now confirmed that I have not O'd, and that that's not all that unusual. According to ff, the earliest I've O'd since I started charting was day 22, which is today. Hopefully soon, I've got fertile cf going on now....

I'm in the same boat except that I don't have fertile CF. My temp is going down.

Good Morning ladies!

Supplement question here: Has anyone taken high doses of Zinc, up to 90 mg/day, to help with severe menstrual cramps (dysmennorhea)? I read about it recently and decided to try it. You are supposed to start it 1-4 days before AF so that's what I did. Here's the problem. I think it may have also drastically reduced AF. I had two days of spotting and now nothing. My temp is down to post AF temp so I know I'm not pregnant. I'm just wondering if my two days of spotting was my AF? I'm still taking the Zinc because I'm worried that AF is going to show up full force if I stop and then I will be in severe pain again. Help!
