My baby came on October 1st, at 1:59am, Samuel Ray was 8lbs 2oz and 19 3/4 inches long
! Dark dark blue eyes, blonde hair and a 14 inch head
.
He's just beautiful (of course I'm biased!), and looks very very much like his older brothers. He was a extremely sleepy baby at first, but is finally starting to come around for feedings more regularly.
Breastfeeding is going awesome, despite starting with a few blisters from him learning to latch we've about got rid of those, and my milk is in with a vengeance lol (hello engorgement!!). He's already got all the meconium poops out and is on to seedy breastmilk poopies
.
I'm extremely tired, and this is the first time I've sat down to write a note to anyone as yet.. sleep deprivation stinks lol. But my health is good, SPD still kicking my butt, but hopefully that will go away once I get back to regular chiropractic treatments (missed last week's due to the birth lol!). I only had one little nick, no big tears this time (YAY!) that was fixed with a little surgical tape.
We still haven't downloaded his pictures from our camera yet, but hope to soon. And I'm not up to telling the full birth story yet.. but it is a interesting story.. not how I'd planned things.. but still good and I'm so very glad we had our home birth
!!
I'll try to check in now and then..
for now I'm back in baby bootcamp.. except this time it includes two older brothers who adore the new baby and are crazy jealous of Mama's attention (even the dog is giving me jealous looks LOL!!).
