Who has an appointment today?

I have a 38 week appointment with my OB today. I think I am going to ask to get checked to see if all these contractions are making any kind of changes down there.

Who else has an appointment today?

I do. I'm 39w 5 d so I assume I'll be checked as I was told I would be at my 40 week appointment. I actually get to go see the midwife with out my 2 older kids, too! So much easier.

I have an appointment today. I am 36.3 weeks. Just the regular old stuff today. I feel much smaller for some reason so I am interested to see what I am measuring.

36 week appointment today - my midwife is doing my home visit. If she doesn't have to cancel, a woman she's the backup midwife for went into labour this morning, so she could get called away any time now, basically.

i have my 36 week appt. I think we're doing the GBS screen. I am kind of nervous about it of course. All the screenings make me so nervous - and it seems like we have the highest chances of having GBS - all others were pretty low risk. Isn't it like one in 4 women have GBS? Ugh.

I am also nervous about my appointment. I am sick and running on only a couple of hours sleep and I am so hoping that my BP isn't up. Other than that it we are doing urine, pulse, fundal height and talking about the birth plan.

Yes my 38 week appointment is today also! I took the GBS test last week and it came back negative! Baby dropped about 2 weeks ago and last week my belly measured 2cm lower than the week before because of the engagement.

I go to a birth center and they don't do internals unless you ask. I am so darn curious though I am almost wanting to ask. I am to the point where I am just hoping the baby is coming at some point. This is my first so I don't know what to expect!

I have one this afternoon. This will be first time someone is checking my cervix besides me. They want to try a sweep, but unless I magically dilate more in the next three hours, that ain't happenin'. I'm spot on 40w today, and if I don't have the baby sometime over the weekend, I've got an NST at the hospital on Monday.

ME!!! I am 37w, 2d. Joy... I HATE when teh appts get this close togeter. Makes it worse that my drive to the OB office is 45min-1 hour. UGH!!!! I'm gonna be driving home in rush hour traffic too BLECH! Is it odd that I have no desire whatsoever to know how dilated/effaced I am?

I don't think it's that high so try not to worry. I think it's the other way around actually. I think most women don't have it which is why a lot decide to decline (since it's always in our system but rarely out of control). Also, don't forget that if it does come back + you have time to treat naturally and then retest so you can have that negative result for the birth.

38wk appt is tomorrow for me. I go every Friday. I don't think anything important is happening at these last few appts. I sure hope the student MW will be there....I really liked her!

I'm back from my appointment. I am still only 1 cm dilated but am now 70% effaced. I have been trying to decide if I should go on the yearly girls' shopping weekend this weekend. It's 3 hours away from my hospital, but as it seems not much is happening "down there" I am leaning towards going now.

My 38 week appt is later this afternoon (I'm 38 weeks tomorrow, Friday). I've only had one internal exam so far, that was two weeks ago when they did the GBS swab (came back negative, yeah!). Not sure if they'll do another internal, but I'm thinking not. I think they'll just check bp, urine, weight and fundal height.

I've been getting lots of BH contractions, but so far, not the real deal. Only one of my babies has been born at 38 weeks, the rest have come later, so we'll see. I still feel like I have things to do, so I'm being patient... the baby will come when he/she is ready!

My doctor told me 85% of women test negative for GBS, so that only leaves 15% that test positive.

Unfortunately, I'm in the 15% this time around.

Got done my 36 week appointment. My BP was up at the beginning of the appointment....my MIL was here!, but it was back down to my normal range by the end. Urine, HB, fundal height etc. was all good. I am happy.

I do. 36w 4d. This is the appointment where the midwife comes to the doctors with me (we have to do shared care here) to get any prescriptions I might need, and to talk things over with the doc to know that we're all on the same page.

Back from my appointment. Every thing is good, blood pressure, urine, all that. I'm 2 centimeters and 50% effaced. I had forgotten how uncomfortable it was to be checked. Youch! Nothing else going on, have another appointment for next Thursday when we'll discuss scheduling an ultrasound and NST just to check on the boy if I haven't gone into labor yet.
