(This is Carrie's husband, Chris, typing this message up...

Nora Caitlyn was born this morning, October 2, 2008, at 4:05 AM. She weighs 7 pounds and is 20 inches long. Born at home after a looooong labor. Just about 24 hours total, with 12 hours of active labor. But only 51 minutes of pushing.

Carrie had a few small tears that were sutured--nothing major. Labor was a lot harder than she thought it would be. The baby was posterior for most of the labor. During the last two hours rotated to LOA.

Nora has a full head of dark hair, big blue eyes, and is absolutely gorgeous.

Carrie also wanted me to add that her water didn't break until 11:47 pm when she was about 7-8 cm.
