I heard back from the midwife this morning. She definitely will not be attending our birth. She made a recommendation for another midwife, and I already contacted her. We will see how it goes. She did say that if I UCed that she would be our back-up, so that is something we can keep in mind.

It's great that she offered another midwife...and even cooler that she said she'd be your back up for a UC!!

Not sure what we are going to do. I left a message for the recommended midwife, so I will use Heather's recommendations to get a feel for her. I will have to see what we want to do after that.

Well, that is cool that she made a recommendation - usually recommendations from people I really like are good ones

But oh what a bummer that she can't attend the birth.

Her recommendation is someone that she works with often, so hopefully it will be a good one. They are the main back-up for one another.
