Sewing velcro onto pul?

When you sew velcro closure onto the pul that's the outside layer to a poocket diaper, doesn't that make it so it's not waterproof anymore? I'm just wondering how to go about waterproofing under the velcro where I've sewn on the pul. Any suggestions?

No expeirence but I have heard after you sew PUL to dry on high to reseal it. It has to work because there are many brands that put velcro type closures on PUL. HTH

I've sewn quite a few pocket dipes with velcro and never had a problem with leaks. I usually dry on medium, then once and a while on hot, just to make sure everything is sealed up.

Thanks so much. I'll just dry it then to reseal it.

Now, I'm just wondering if I should use 1 mil PUL or 2 mil PUL for the outer.
