New to WI and need suggestions

Thread Starter
I just moved to Hartland, WI three weeks ago and I'm having a hard time finding any prenatal yoga, pilates, or fitness classes nearby. Does anyone know of anything? I'd like to stay within a 30 minute drive.
Also, does anyone know of a laid back family practice doctor. We do vaccinate but I don't want someone that is prescription happy. I'll probably find a naturopath to use also but we will need a doctor for vaccinations and well baby checkups. Any suggestions will be helpful.
I also have a 3 year old DD so load me up with suggestions for fun things to do in the area.

Thanks

You are on the right side of Milwaukee for pre-natal yoga. I have been searching for good yoga places along the north shore with no luck. Everything I have found has been out west. I have never been to this place (it is over an hour away from me), but I keep running into information about this place. They sell maternity clothes as well as host tons of various "mom-centered" classes (prenatal yoga, baby yoga, prenatal belly dancing, classes to handle your new life, etc.) This is in the Fountain Square plaza across the street from Brookfield Square.

Destination Maternity
16010 W. Bluemound Rd.
Brookfield, WI

Sorry. I can't help you on the doctor. I love mine, but she is over an hour drive from you. I doubt you'll want to travel that far.

Good luck, and welcome to the area.

You are close to SE Wisconsin's only free standing birth center on Main St. in Menomonee Falls, it's called Well Rounded Maternity. The owner Coral is WONDERFUL!! She offers prenatal yoga classes, and lots of other class at the center. She's also a doula, and Bradley method child birth educator. If you do decide to check out her prenatal yoga classes, or there is a natural parenting play group there also, you could probably get doctor recommendations from her or the other parents. You should really check the place out, or go to her web site, just google Well-Rounded Maternity. It's a really great way to get connected to a great group of people.

I second the awesomeness of Coral & well-rounded!!!! She is great, and has a wonderful energy to her. Right now she's our CBE with Bradle classes yand going to be our doula for this kidlet #2. I know 2 of the mommas in my class right now also are doing the prenatal yoga classes too and love it!!

Personally I have to get up to MF to see the center, but its a bit of a drive for me coming out of Wauwatosa.
