Hi Mamas,

Checking into see what's shaking. Lilith and I are now home and she's finally been given the all clrear re: jaundice issues. We managed to nurse through them, and we are both relieved my milk is in and helping take care of the issue.

She's already growing so quickly....it's just so lovely....I'm really enjoying this time with her and with my family.

I've recovered really quickly....I guess that's what a fast labor and minimal pushing does for you. I had no tearing and have had no post-partum issues. I'm feeling like I"m finally getting over the worst of the emotional hormonal flushes and the post partum swelling and bleeding has really started to abate.

I'm so happy to see the babies are well and truly coming now. I wish for all you mama's waiting a wonderful birth experience and the joy I feel right now seeing my little midget (she was a pound lighter and 2 inches shorter than my first) snuggled into my k'tan pouch.

A quick product plug for all of you out there, if you are wavering or have even though about splurging on muslin wraps...DO IT! It is one of the few things I bought for this little one and I'm totally sold. I bought a 4 pack of aden & anais ones...but I'm sure there are other optons out there. Lilith loves being swaddled in them....I can swaddle her up snugly without it feelign like a straight jacket on her. The size seems pretty big at first.....but there is no bulk and she's able to push against the swaddle which seems to comfort her. For those that wonder what the fabric looks/feels like...here's a pic of her snugged up that might give you an idea:

and one of her laying on it:

Ok mamas! Off to see who's arrived!

She's gorgeous!

Where did you get your wraps? I wonder if I can find the right kind of muslin and figure out the size to make some for us.

I ordered them off ebay. Here's the product page:
http://www.adenandanais.com/
You should be able to find measurements there. I thought about making my own...but knew I'd never get around to it, also don't have a sewing machien etc....there is no magic to them...they are just huge square cloths. I also checked out offerings on etsy etc...but found that all musling swaddlers were about the same price no matter the brand/source.

Another product plug really: the k'tan rocks!

She's just beautiful!

Funny you mention the muslin wraps too. I have read so many good things about them online, but was hesitant to spend so much on blankets. However, I realized they sell them at Babystyle and my sister just had her last day working there last night. So she happened to call me and I asked when she was done working there, she told me, and I asked her to pick some up for me with her discount. Perfect timing and I hope we like them!

Lilith is so beautiful...how could she not be loved.

She's adorable and looks so comfy and snuggly. I've never heard of the muslim wraps before. I'll have to check them out.

First of all, Lilith is beautiful!:
Secondly, I already have two sets of A+A muslin swaddle wraps ready to go for Jasper.
I know several mamas who extoll the virtues of them plus living here in LA, thin layers like these blankets are perfect for swaddling, using as stroller cover and/or breastfeeding cover w/o getting too hot.
They are so soft, I love em.
