Maybe someone can help.
Fly Lady doesn't seem realistic for my life - from what I see of her schedule, she "cleans" everything in a single day. Dude, I have 4 kids...I *cannot* clean my house in a single day!
So, I tried breaking the rooms down by day (example - Monday is kitchen and downstairs bathroom) and using Fly Lady's zone cleaning for deep cleaning that I never seem to get to.
But blah...all I do is clean, clean, clean. Yes, my house is nice and tidy, but I'm exhausted and resentful. Any words of wisdom?

: Also, I don't follow her systems but I find that some of her stuff really does save time. Guess what...if you do her "swish and swipe" every day, you don't really have to ever "properly" clean the bathrooms *and* you are not waiting until things are totally grungy
. Also, declutter, declutter, declutter. My main living area is so much easier to tidy now that there is less furniture and stuff in it. If you listen to her podcasts you might get a better idea of how her system works -- it's helping me to understand better. I've got a long way to go to streamline my system and I'm working up to getting on board with flylady
I guess the perfectionist side of me has a hard time not cleaning it all, but I was trying. I would squirt some soap (which I no longer have, I usually clean toilets with borax, but I was using her tip of old shampoo that you don't like for your hair) in the toilet, spray down the sink/counter and outside of toilet and wipe it all down. But besides cleaning the mirror, that's how I normally clean a bathroom anyway!
:
I spend almost all of my time cleaning instead of raising my kids.
