Harvest Festival- Inner Harbor Baltimore Saturday

Just want to recommend two great family events on Saturday. The Downtown Baltimore Family Alliance is holding a Harvest Festival in West Shore Park (b/t the science center and the visitor center). Pumpkin patch, square dancing, hay maze, apple cider, petting zoo-and everything is free. It's from 10-2. Same time and within walking distance the public works museum is having its big truck day- firetrucks, heavy equipment even a police helicopter kids can climb on. for info: dbfam.org and baltimorepublicworksmuseum.org

We'll be heading down around noon.

It was actually pretty cool. The kids bobbed for apples. We got bison jerky and hot dogs. We all had free cider and cheese. The kids did the hay maze. Then we went to the Science Center and saw the new k'nex exhibit.

How was the new K'nex exhibit? My DH and DS1 are going next weekend.
They went to the Big Truck thing today. Seems that DS1 had major sensory-overload from the loud horns!

I'm sad we couldn't get there! My SIL/BIL were in town and we were committed for lunch with them and then the Phelps celebration at Ft. McHenry, so we had to squeeze in nap time where we could. I bet DD would have LOVED it. I owe her a Science Center or Aquarium trip this week...
