OMG I am so seriously in love with these. They are my new favorite right now. The knitting part took 18ish hours and the embroidery took all day yesterday. That is one needlecraft I can safely say I suck at. The chain stitch is actually a crochet cord that I stitched on. I have a few firsts with these bad boys even!

Stats:
Pattern: Picky Pants
Size: Medium! This is the first pair of mediums I have had to make for us.
Pattern specs: Short rows, over a 9 inch inseam, elastic waistband, garter crotch
Yarn: Paton's Merino: Deep Olive (main body and in between stripes and cuff)
Wool of the Andes: Avocado (first and third stripes) and Fern (middle stripe)

They are still drying or I'd have action shots.

Oh yeah..they have a garter crotch too. I think I'll be doing that one more often. Nice and clean area.

THose are so cute! I have been wanting to do something like this for a while but i hadn't thought of stripes at the bottom, what a great idea! If you Ravelry, you should check out the user Storm in the Attic. She has some of the most amazing add-ons to her longies, reminds me of these.

Oh yeah I know! That and one other person (Knitinyourpants). She has some gorgeous tree ones . That's what gave me the idea. Her trees turn out much better than mine IMO.

I'm getting ready to start working on longies/shorties again : and I guess I'm out of the loop, so to speak.

'Cause I can. I like the look of it and it seems like it would absorb more or at least withstand the friction in that area a bit more. No science behind it...just a bit of random overthinking.
