Pain when baby moves?

I'm noticing (just as of today) that everytime the baby moves or stretches or if I stretch out/take a really deep breath, I get a somewhat sharp pain on my left side, above my navel where the feet are. The only type of pain I can compare it to is the kind you get when you're super hungry and have pains in your stomach from it. It's short-lived but it happens everytime the baby moves/stretches. Has this little rascal bruised me or something? Anyone else ever experienced this? It's pretty painful. Thoughts?

Sorry you're having that pain Tara. I have pain and extreme discomfort when baby moves, but nothing focal like that.

This baby hurts me a lot with her movements, but lately I've been getting an odd feeling (around my belly button, too) when she moves that feels like something is bruised internally. It's not super painful, and just feels weird. Sometimes it's sore even if she's not moving and I find myself rubbing the area a lot, but it doesn't do much. I hope it eases up for you!

Not anything specific like that, but pretty much anytime this LO moves now it's extremely uncomfortable to painful. I think there just isn't enough room anymore. And when s/he does whatever s/he's doing down *there* it literally makes me squirm!

I get some of those in certain spots. It does feel like a bruised uterus or something.

I got such a sharp pain down there the other night that I was absolutely convinced the kid was trying to dig his/her way out with a spoon. Ouch!

Otherwise, nothing quite so specific as what you've got, Tara. I wouldn't be surprised if it is from bruising or the like though.

crashing your ddc! (checking for birth announcements...) but I have that same pain, same place too. Could it be a pulled/stretched muscle? That's what it kind of feels like to me. It gets really sore when I overdue it at work and then I take it easy for a few days and it kind of goes away. Just like when you pull a muscle. Some babies kick hard enough to break ribs (yikes, I know!) so a bruise shouldn't be too far out of the ordinary. I hope you feel better soon. Heck, I hope you have a baby soon!

I'm with you there, Tara. I have had the impression that my belly button is going to give way. The sharp pain/stitch in the side, seems to move a bit with the baby, but the belly button has long been my most tender place. There and between my ribs as the babe has moved up and up into there. This hurts most especially at night. I hope this pain/sensation subsides for all of us pretty soon.

And.....it's completely gone this morning! . Go fig. Maybe it was a sore uterus from the BH's I've been having? They're much more frequent this week and my tummy gets SOOOO tight, though not painful.

With all those nerves in there, it is easy to get strange pains and twinges. I always report all of them to my mw just in case, but yours sound within th erange of normal. Isn't the end of pregnancy fun?

I've had this when LO has been in a certain position for awhile and repeatedly kicks the same place over and over. It really does feel like my right ribs get bruised from the inside. And then it does away after she changes position and kicks a different part of me

She never really hurts me when she moves, though I am often really surprised by how strong she is... wow!

I do however have times when my uterus is sore after having LOTS of BHs, and many days I do have lots. Glad you're feeling better today!
