How to cover navel ring during belly cast?

I need some ideas on how to cover my navel ring while we're doing the belly casting. I'm assuming if I don't then it'll show as a detail on the cast and I'm not sure I want it there. I think I'd rather show a smooth belly since the ring isn't in to look cute right now....just to keep the hole in the event I can get a cute tummy again post-baby. I'd just take it out but that's what I did last week during my pro pics (for about 2 1/2 hours) and it ended up infected (still not fully healed but better). I thought about putting a couple bandaids over it but my super sensitive skin gets a rash from the glue which isn't painful or anything...it just looks stupid. Maybe that's worth it? Ideas anyone??? TIA!

I was gonna say some tape of some sort... do you have any ace bandage tape type stuff? Bandaids might show up too if they're bulky. I don't know how sensitive the belly cast making material is though. Good luck!

^Oooo...maybe athletic tape! Good thought! I'm pretty sure I've got some of that lying around from taping my ankles.

not in your ddc, but I did the same thing and just plastered over it. no problems and it didn't raise a bump or anything--the pieces of plaster were enough to cover it and the cast came off nicely.

^Thanks! Did you have a maternity ring or was it a regular one? Mine is a maternity ring so the barbell is much longer and plastic. It sticks out pretty severely....very noticable under any top. It makes it look like I have 3 belly buttons (top ball, navel, bottom charm)!
