Out of breath with ctx?

I keep having these sensations that don't necessarily hurt like ctx should, but they are making me practically lose my breath. I can feel them in my back and belly, and they're making it hard to breath. I don't remember ctx being like this. But what could it be?

It sounds like some form of ctx. : (Happy late anniversary BTW!...just saw the date in your siggy)

Some of my bh contractions got that way towards the end of the pregnancy.

This is how mine have been, too. I don't remember this happening with my previous pregnancies.

Mine have been like that too. I also get really crampy, but the breathlessness happens first. I think it is the change in pressure in the abdomen, and the diaphragm has more room. So, you end up with a weird breathless sensation.

Weird, breathless sensation is a good way to describe what I've been feeling! Not really taking my breath away like some pain does, I just can't breath. It's really odd, and always occurs when baby shoves herself way up & my uterus hardens.

I love you ladies! You make me feel so much better knowing I'm not the only one having these crazy contractions. They aren't painful at all, so I know it isn't the real thing, but it was really freaking me out. I've been having tons of BH, so after hearing you ladies are having the same thing, I'm guessing they are just a side effect of that. This is just soooo different from my first baby!

Thanks Tara! My anniversery isn't actually until the 12th (I guess I should put 10/2002 in my siggy) so you aren't late at all. Maybe we'll get a baby for our anniversery present!

I had these last week, the pain in back and low in front with ctx like feeling, they were sharp, especially low in back. So don't worry, its normal!

It was the baby dropping (rather rudely, lol) down. He actually engaged ( had and appointment with ob that same day) and the ob felt some ctx.

Would you believe last week the ob says he has gotten back up to -3 station!

I'm another who gets these! Just figured breathing was affected because everything is squished up in there and during a contraction my uterus is going to be more unyielding than usual when my lungs try to expand.

I'm having one right now, in fact!
