Hmmmmm I thought it said we had to have Em's renewed in 5 years?? I'll have to check back to that, because I thought the same thing as you... but with a 5 year age span, thinking at 7 she'd look nothing like she did at 2! LOL

The passport website said 15. I was checking to see if there were any special forms for minors and what they needed (and hoping for a cheaper option than a passport) and it said 15 yrs. Oh well. Knowing my luck, I'll spend this $400 getting passports and then we won't ever need them before they expire.

I believe passports last 5 yrs for minors, and 10 yrs for adults... That said, at least right now you can still take your own kids through Canada with just their birth certificates...I think they ahve to have passports in 2009? Hmm, i guess that's next year huh. dang time flies!!

I just got myself a senior title--i'm all giddy about it so I have to point it out to everyone.

$400??! oh man I knew there was a reason that we haven't gotten passports yet... I had no idea it would be so costly...ugh.

those are great! she is so adorable!

we just got passports done this year for our dds, and they will expire in 5 years. I can't wait to get a passport for our new baby- baby passports are just the cutest, although it is ridiculous to think that would provide any sort of identification since they grow and change so quickly.

ok, gotta go hem up dd's gypsy costume.

passports are nearly $100 each! And with 6 of us, it is a major expense. Someday, someday.

Yikes, that is a LOT!! Glad we still have a year left.

Happy Halloween

Yes, well, being military and knowing we're moving somewhere in the spring, we figured better get it now while there's still some pfd left, since we don't know if we're going to need them or not. And, of course, being military, we don't always know far enough in advance to wait for orders.

They now have passport cards that are cheaper than passports, but they only work for North America.
