find themselves going out in public just to watch people's reaction when you tell them you're ___ days past your due date?

I just love seeing the looks on their faces - like they think I'm crazy for being out in public or that I'm going to drop the baby right there in their establishment. I actually had an employee at Dollar Tree ask me when my inducement date is because I was due "yesterday." She seemed shocked when I told her I didn't have one and that I like to wait for babies to come when they're ready. She then proceeded to tell me about her awful induction and how the baby was obviously not ready to come. She was sure she didn't want to do that again. I told her on my way out that I see a midwife and it makes all the difference in the world! :

It was pretty entertaining going to dinner last night and seeing everyone's faces reacting to my full term belly! I'm only 38wks but I'm sure they were staring because I look like I could go any day (and really, I guess I could).

I wouldn't say I go out just for that, but I do get a kick of responding to the question "when are you due" with the answer "two days ago". Usually someone will say "won't you get an induction" and I love to chime in about a homebirth and letting baby decide.

I've been getting the "almost ready, huh?" comments for months, so it's nice to actually respond that I'm due in about 3 weeks (rather than 3 months! ). I went out with DD on my EDD with DS and this guy at the mall was shocked I was out and about. What are we supposed to do, sit around waiting for labor to start?

I changed my mind...today was different. I went to Wal-Mart and used the self-checkout because I could not STAND the thought of the associate asking when I was due, if it is a boy or a girl, and if I'm ready to "pop." I just did NOT want to talk about it today. (Three days past the "due date.")
