What is your favorite diaper bag and stroller?
I had a few diaper bags and they were all different. I mostly liked the fabic and colors of them. But my favorite stroller right now is my Maclaren Quest. We also have a Peg Perego Pliko P3 that is very nice for longer strolls.

I hate diaper bags, sorry. I especially loathe cutsie ones with kids prints on them - my child is a child, but I am not.

Instead, I used regular bags - backpacks were my favorite - and had an entire baby kit in them.

I still have a kid bag - i.e. my bag when I have the boys - because it contains toys, a pair of boys underpants, bandaids, wipes, etc. It is a regular LLBean "good back" bag (designed to not be heavy on the back) - I love it b/c it looks grownup, I can wear it with a baby on my back or hip, and I got it in a color to match my ergo...

I cannot comment on strollers b/c I have only owned three and hated two...

Well, my stroller isn't my favorite, but it's what I can afford. It's a Graco. We'll be buying a Graco duo stroller in a month or two.

As for diaper bags, I am in love with Petunia Pickle. But I can't ever bring myself to spend that much on a bag. Instead I usually sew my own.

Strollers: Maclarens for in town and Mountain Buggies for everything else. (and no, we've never paid full price--thank bob for craigslist!

Diaper bags: Eh, not yet found the "perfect" one. Have a hello kitty one I liked a lot and used a regular purse as well, also a pottery barn kids preppy one that was nice, and for the newbie, I got a nondiaper bag from Eddie Bauer that seems like it'll do the trick. I love the look/feel of the Fleurville sling tote but can't afford it and am worried to spend that much money on something I can't test drive.

The only diaper bag I ever had was a freebie from the pediatrician. I hated it and have just used whatever bag I had around (back packs etc) since DD was a month or so old. Diaper bags seem designed pretty exclusively for people who bottle feed and use disposable diapers, so many of the compartments in a diaper bag are either useless or not large enough.

We had a Graco "travel system" when DD was tiny, but we didn't like it much. It didn't handle easily and took up a TON of space in the trunk. It also didn't hold up very well. By the time DD was 2, it was really banged up.

We finally gave in and bought a Baby Planet stroller. We chose the Butterfly model. It's so nice! I love the company too. They have great ethics. The only downside is that the stroller we chose doesn't have a tray for snacks, etc. Many of the other models do though.

Well....we didn't do a diaper bag per-say. Dh bought me a lovely learther and felt bag hand made in sweeden that I still use for myself and DD eventhough she has been out of diapers for a year.

Stroller wise, we did get a phil and teds when DD was born but she hated the thing a sreamed everytime we put her in it. She really needed to face us. So we sold the phil and teds and bought a bugaboo chameleon......the best investment we ever made!

My favorite diaper bag has been the Land's End Little Tripper. Their Do-It-All bag was way too big for me. I like that this one is small and things are very easy to find in it. It's been a great size for us. I don't really need something as big as a backpack or normal diaper bag.

I have a mcclaren trimuph I got on craigslist. Its great for riding public transportation, because it folds up small and quick.

I just got a bob sport utility off of craigslist, but only yesterday so I can't tell you if I love it yet

I use the ergo backpack mostly as a diaper bag because i have it.

I also have a "diaper dude" that my mom got me that has skulls and crossbones on the pockets and is messenger bag style, but it doesn't seem to hold enough now that I need snacks and cups all the time.

I still haven't found a diaper bag I love, but when we use a stroller, we're very fond of our Maclaren Techno.

For strollers, I love the Zooper Waltz. it does great in the mall or on sidewalks. It is also very quick and easy to fold up and take out.

For diaper bags, I just found the Loom backpack which I am loving. it is a bit on the small side, but it manages to hold everything I need. It has a clutch purse that attaches to the outside and that can be removed quick and easily if you want to take just the purse in somewhere. I think it is a genius idea!

For a diaper bag- I use backbacks or whatever bag I can find near the door when I run out. Could never see paying a lot of money for a diaper bag.

Had a Graco travel system and hated it. I love my Macleran Volo stroller. It is lightweight and folds up easily. I also just purchased a Bob sport utility dualie stroller for running and LOVE it. It has eliminated all of my HAIR PULLING problems.

I love bags, so diaper bags have become an extension of that. I like my Frizzi bag. It's brown with a turquoise satin accent print, it has plenty of pockets and slings over my back, by far the best one I've had in style, comfort and accessibility. I like that it has some colour, but it's not cutesy, it's just pretty and feminine.

Strollers, either my Maclarens (a Volo and Cosetto) or my Joovy Caboose. The Maclarens are great for when we both need to take strollers and the Volo gets slung over DH's back while he chases DS1. The Caboose is great for me on my own because I can contain DS1 if I need to, but there is also an easy option to walk and get out which is great for the zoo and park.

I'm not a fan of cutsie diaper bags- I just have a plain black one with turquoise accents. I love it. I'm a little embarrassed at the amount of money it cost, but I was young and still kid free and could afford it when I bought it. I've been using it the last 16 months and will use it for subsequent kids so I'm happy with it.

For strollers, we got a Graco travel system so that is our main stroller. I haven't had any complaints or problems with it. I also have a BOB Revolution jogging stroller that I love for when I go on walks or runs. There isn't much space underneath to hold things so it could never be my main stroller. But it's great for it's intended use!

Don't Like Diaper Bags Either

I don't like diaper bags either. I don't understand why people buy a special bag for diapers and kiddie stuff instead of just finding a bag they like and putting kiddie stuff in it. Mostly, we've just used a backpack or the bottom of the stroller when we needed to haul stuff around with us for the kids.

We have a Bugaboo Frog stroller. I thought that DH was INSANE when he wanted this stroller. When we got ours more than four and a half years ago only three stores in Canada sold the Frog, and it was $1400 there. Needless to say, we crossed the border and bought ours in Boston for significantly less.

We've been using this stroller for a little more than four years now, and I see it being in service for at least another four years. I don't drive so it gets used A LOT and it's still in amazing shape. I can't believe how well it's held up and how well it's served our needs for every age, stage and circumstance we've used it for.

We have eyed lots of other strollers, tested them out in stores and been certain that we made the right choice. The things I really like are :

- the seat can face in or out. We've generally kept it facing in so the child could see the person pushing. After having used this, I really do not like outward facing strollers.

- the seat can be converted to a bassinet or carry cot (or replaced with certain infant seats). This was great with a baby. It basically meant we could use the stroller as a travel bed and the baby could be kept close by when our parents were babysitting, or when we were at some kind of event where babywearing wasn't practical.

- the stroller folds in two parts. Supposedly this is a safety feature so the stroller can't accidentally collapse with a child in it. We've found this useful in situations where the stroller had to be folded (like on public transit), but the child was sick or asleep. The base could fold down, and the seat part or bassinet part could just be carried with the baby or child still in it.

- for a full size and full featured stroller it's light and compact. Most strollers that weigh less than 20 pounds have small wheels and are not suitable for bad weather and rougher terrain. Strollers with large pneumatic tires are good for bad weather and rougher terrain, but a lot of them have three wheels making them larger. They are heavier and difficult to impossible to get on a bus or subway, and they don't fold up very small. The Bugaboo can breakdown small enough to fit in the overhead luggage compartment on an airplane. As for as I know, the Bugaboo is the lightest, smallest folding stroller with pneumatic tires.

- the stroller has a reversing handle and a slim profile. It's a very easy stroller to park. If the handle is in the way, it can be pushed over to the other side. Also the overall shape makes it really good to take on buses. The large wheels tuck under the sideways facing seats, and the handle and most of the part where the child sits will slide in over top of the bus seat... so the stroller doesn't take up more room than an adult passenger.

- the Bugaboo is almost impossible to tip. Kids have been climbing in, over and out of this stroller from the age of 13 months to four years. Our two oldest girls have climbed in together. The kids have never tipped it. I can't believe how stable it is.

- all of the fabric can be removed and washed.

- all of the parts can purchased and replaced individually if necessary. It's a well built stroller, but after four years the front wheels wore down and needed to be replaced.

- the break is on the push bar by your hand.

Bugaboo hasn't changed the overall design of their strollers much since we bought ours. There have only minor changes with their newer models... basically, there wasn't much to improve on with their original design. It's a lot more stroller than what many people need, and it isn't suitable if you actually want to go for a jog (the wheel base isn't wide enough to accommodate a running stride), but while we've watched a lot of our friends buy a succession of strollers to meet their needs one Bugaboo has been able to do everything for us.

My first diaper bag was a kelty and I loved it. I sold it when we sold the back back. Seriously there are days I still wish I had that bag and my dd is 12.

for the other two i used a medium sized timbuk2 bag. perfect. I still use it.

I never had anything spectacular for a stroller.

Hi, I see your new to MDC - Welcome

I'm moving this over to the Parenting forum.

diaper bag - diaper dude. Looks hip, like a messenger bag, and it has a cool wipe dispenser.

Stroller - gogo babyz urban advantage (for its price and flexibility). I don't recommend this stroller for an urban area where you will be taking the bus/train, as it is too big.

I absolutely love my Peg Perego Pilko P3. It is pricey but goes from birth to my 3.5 yo still wanting to ride once in a while. Great stroller.

Still trying to find my fav diaper bag. I haven't had much luck.

I love my diaper bag. I made it myself. Its a Hot Mama Messenger bag. Lots of pockets are ESSENTIAL for me!

I don't love my stroller. I don't use it very often. I use a mei tai instead.
