prenatal massage

I'm doing 2x/wk chiro, but am finding my back's bothering me more and more. Very reminiscent of my first pregnancy!

I was just given a gift certificate for "Spa Finder." So, though I've never had any sort of massage, I thought this idea sounded good!

Any recs for a place that does this? I'd love to be able to use my certificate towards it, but recs for non-"Spa Finder" people/places would be great, too.

Thanks!

I don't have any recs but did want to say I had a prenatal massage near the end of my last pregnancy and it felt amazing! I never realized how much my hand, feet, or back were hurting me until the massage started making them feel better.

Not sure where Sterling is, but if it is close to Norton or Wise, my sis just over the boarder in Kentucky does massage and is great at it (not bias at all). Her shop is Heavenly Touch. PM me if you are close enough.

sadly, I'm pretty far away. Thanks for the kind idea, though! I'm sure I'd love Heavenly Touch! Even if your opinion is biased, at this point I'll take anything

miss_nikki, thanks for affirming that this is something that'd be worth it!

I looked on the Spa Finder thing for you and I would recommend Hela Spa. They have a good reputation. I would NOT recommend any of the Red Doors. I had the worst experience with them, and as a massage therapist, I should know.

I really like the Teal Center in Arlington as well. There is a CST there named Nishanka Lahr who is just great. She also works with pediatric clients in case you ever need it.

Good Luck, prenatal massage is awesome. It is even fun for the therapist. Pregnant ladies are always appreciative clients.

I have my own practice on Capitol Hill. I work with lots of pregnant moms, but my love is fertility work.
