I just figured this out the other day. I took a play silk I had dyed, and pair of my 3yo dd's old tights. I cut off some of the tights and tied it around the center of the playsilk, and cut two mathcing pieces of leg for straps. I sewed the straps on to the middle top of the wings, so they would go right over the shoulders. And poof! Silk wings!
