Daily Chat- Sunday October, 5th

GOOD MORNING LADIES!! How are you all doing?

I'm up and trying to find something to go, so hey! I thought, why not start the Sunday chat thread??

My darling hubby decided that at 4:30am he should wake me up bc he had a bad dream. He was asking me to promise not to let the kids call another man Daddy if something should happen to us and I get remarried. Where that came from, I have no idea, but apparently it scared him enough to wake me up. And I haven't been able to sleep since then.

Let's see.. I'm feeling sick to my stomach. Have been since yesterday morning, so I hope I'm not coming down with something. I know I need to eat, but ewww... No thanks. I ate a little yesterday and it was all I could do to eat that small amount.

It's early and I have nothing to talk about so I'm just mumbling, lmao. Hope ya'll are more interesting than I am!!

So... how are your mornings starting off? Any new babies??

So I just read today that the only thing that's helping my Puppps-steroid cream, should only be used for 2 weeks. Which means I can only use it for 1 more week, and then I guess I'm screwed? I can barely stand it as is, but if I have to go back to icepacks being my only relief, I might seriously have a breakdown. I'm starting some induction techniques this week in the hope that they work. I don't want to kick him out early, but I don't want to be insane either.
Sex every night, EPO 3x day orally, 2 vaginally, spicy food (well, I eat that anyway!), and I'd like to try foot massage, but my feet are all rashy too =( So badly that I can't wear shoes, and I actually used the motorized carts to go grocery shopping the other day! It's even between my toes.
So wish me luck!

Ive been up alot last night too. This little guy is actually HURTING when he moves at this point. Ive never had that before. It actually feels like my belly button is ripping out.

Yesterday my mom stopped to drop off Nathan's pumpkin ( she has a farm and grew some for the kids) She is one of the few people who get to feel my belly lol. She wanted to know if we could paint my belly like a giant pumpkin and take a picture Her guess is 9 1/2 lbs now. ( shes a retired nurse who also had good size babies) If I run into my sister ( also a nurse) today she will need to do the baby rub/feel and give her estimate. My belly is like that giant jar of jelly beans you have to guess how many is in the jar.

Ok total off topic... My older 2 boys went to homecoming last night heres 2 pics ( my oldest has a very pretty girlfriend who we really like) My youngest went stag.

Amy, I hope you can stomach food better today.

Dahlea, I can only imagine how miserable you must be.

Jeana, your boys look so handsome, I hope they had a great time.

And PW... you're getting closer each time.

I'm an emotional wreck this morning. I feel like I'm on the verge of tears constantly.. with no good reason, lol. For example, we called MIL up to see if they wanted to go do breakfast and she was going to church instead. It almost made me cry. My mom was supposed to be making the drive down here today, but she's working today instead, and "maybe" leaving tomorrow unless she can get away with staying the extra couple days for her Tues and Wed shifts. That makes me want to cry too, but probably because it just feels like she doesn't think this babe is coming any time soon and feels no rush to get here. Sigh. I feel so silly being all emotional like this, and feeling ready to GO, when I'm only 39 weeks.. but this is 2 weeks longer than I went with DS and so to me and my body it feels like going overdue, I think. I need patience!!!!!

I had a rough night. Up all night, literally. I didn't fall asleep until around 6:30 AM and was woken up by ds at 9:30. Around 12:30am some real feeling contractions started, I really thought it was the start of something because they were so different from the bh's I've been getting, and just felt 'real'. Hah! They stopped around 6am. Tons more mucus lost after all of them, though, so maybe they're helping things along down there. I'm going to have to take a nap today, though, I can't see making it through the day like this when after a full night's sleep I'm usually still exhausted!

But today is another day! I finished the baby's blanket last night, yay! Then started ds' hat & hope to finish or at least get a good bit of it(knitting) done today. It's really starting to get chilly here, so the sooner the better!

Good morning everyone!!

I'm 39 weeks today!:

Well, after 2 nights of solid contracting and half the day yesterday, I decided it was time to break out the EPO. I took a bath then put in the EPO. Dh even convinced me to let him help this baby come. Then I got an awesome massage from Dh before we went to bed. Well, guess what...nothing, nada, zilch...no ctx all.night.long. So frustrating! The good news is that my heartburn is gone!

Today I'm hosting a Mothers Blessing for our very own Heather/ellesmom (see this thread to wish her a blessing) and after that I'm going shopping for some last minute hb supplies.

Have a fantastic Sunday, mamas!!

Goodmorning. Today is going to be somewhat of an exciting day. We will be going over to my mothers to stay the night so that we can go to the hopital in the morning. She lives about an hour away and the girls will be stayin with her until we know what happens that mon morning. So i need to get the house in perfect order just in case we come home with a babe. :

I slept like crap last night. I cant for some reason sleep on my left side cause i feel like i cant breath so i sleep mostly on my right side and then my leg or arm starts to hurt or my ear. So i was really ready to get up at 5 am.Thats every night though. No contractions and no broke water

I was in a very bad mood yesterday so hopefully today will be a better day. My oldest dd was very excited this morning because she is hoping baby will come out monday. She said she needs to be there so she can cut the uterus. lol. She means the cord. Then she goes well i dont want to see mommy down there cause she has a hairy. I told her i dont have a hairy i shave it. lol.

Well hope everyone has a great day! Godbless

Good Morning ladies!

On a day when my son woke me up and has already made me so cranky, reading your postings has already put a smile on my face! I slept alright, a lot of peeing though. But now, I've woken up with a cold. Just great! Waiting for labor, with a cold. My belly wasn't big last winter, so now I have no warm clothes, and its like 50deg. now. Anyway...

NDFAN-Your husbands dream was so weird, but it's good to know men get concerned about stuff like that too.

Dahlea- I understand not wanting to give the baby the boot yet, but yet not wanting to go crazy from keeping them in there!

JBaxter- Your boys are just gorgeous! I can't wait til my boys get that age!

PassionateWriter- You seem to be getting SO MUCH CLOSER. I believe you were due at the end of september?? At least you know your waiting will end VERY shortly. I'm excited for you!

Fairie-don't worry. I think we're all getting a bit emotional.

Mkmb- Sounds like you're getting closer too!!!!:

Birthdance-Sex and a massage? Does your DH have any brothers?

Debra- Cut the uterus out??? hysterical!

Nope, he's an only. I'll have to tell him you asked though...he'll get a kick out of it!

Good morning ladies! It sounds like so many of you had rough nights. I hope you can get some rest today to make up for a crappy night.

DH is making me pancakes! YUM! I'm hoping to do my belly cast today. We didn't get around to it yesterday but we did get the carseat installed and stroller and high chair put together. I'm 38w2d and I'm afraid to wait too much longer to do the cast!

I'm having a ton of BH's lately so hopefully it's moving things along! DH woke up this morning and told me he had a dream that we had a baby girl but her cord came out first (EEK and she had tons of curly black hair. I scolded him for dreaming about cord prolapse and promptly told the baby we'll be having none of that! The girl part is strange since we both think it's a boy. Guess we'll find out soon!

Morning Ladies!!

I'm sorry to hear so many of you are having rough nights. I'm in the same boat. Last night was the first night that I was actually having contractions that made me uncomfortable. My dd woke up at midnight and I couldn't get out of bed! By the time I finally did, I could barely walk and I was having killer pelvic pain. Ugg...that wasn't too fun. I was finally able to go back to sleep.

I am so excited about today!!! I get a free 90 min prenatal massage : The local massage therapy schools does this class I think twice a year and I was lucky enough to snag a spot after somebody else had their baby. I am going to thoroughly enjoy it And now baby Christopher can come anytime he pleases!!!

Hope you all have a great rest of the day!!

hi ladies...i didn't read through every post and for that I apologize! I am WAAAY to restless right now to sit in this computer chair. I want to find something fun to do today....maybe we'll go to the beach or something! Just wanted to check in and let you all know that I'm still preggers and waiting....patiently!!! Oh, and Tara, I think you're having a girl too! Her cord will not be coming first though!!!! : for cute girls!

Good Morning!

I'm feeling fine today. Didn't have a baby yesterday in spite of about five different people's predictions! Maybe Calla is waiting to come on my birthday. I did have some contractions this morning that made me wonder if I wasn't going into labor, but no. Not yet.

ND: Sorry to hear your DH had what must have been a really bad dream. Sorry your sleep was disrupted, too. We all need our rest at this point!!! Hope your tummy is feeling better soon.

Oh Dahlea, I feel so sorry for you dealing with PUPPS. It really sucks that you can't use the meds any longer than two weeks. I hope your LO decides to give mom a break and come out a bit early. Good luck!

JBaxter: Are you going to do the pumpkin belly? If so, we need to see that pic. Your boys are so handsome! They looked great for homecoming. I'm sure they had a lot of fun.

PW: What can I say? I keep hoping to read a birth announcement here from you VERY SOON!

Faerieshadow: I hope you're feeling better soon!

mkmb: I hope you get a good nap in today. You gotta be rested for when the real thing happens!

birthdance: Hope everything goes well at your friend's Mother Blessing. Have a great time!

: Maybe your DD doesn't want anymore siblings?? hehe

AmamaAgain: Oh no! Sorry to hear you're getting a cold. I hope it's a false alarm, or at least goes away quickly! Take care! Rest!

Have a good Sunday! It's a new week! We're getting deeper into October. Closer each day to BABYTIME!

Good morning. Sorry to hear about everyone's nights, and the vomitting. I was in bed from 9 until 7:30, with many trips to the bathroom, but mostly b/c my FIL was in sleeping in the living room/computer room-- only space we have to get away from the bedroom that's comfy. I used to read on the kitchen floor while the ILs slept, but I'm not getting up from floors that well these days.

So, I'm uncharacteristically on the computer now, instead of in the wee hours of the morning.

Holy hip pain! Friday and yesterday I got into the car quickly in the rain-- first into DH's truck (which I at my tiny stature need to use the running board for) and then as a passenger in my own car. I could barely walk yesterday after the second time. I had some freecycling pickups coming, so I had to stay in the downstairs (which resulted in a clean kitchen-yay!) but that meant standing for a long long time. Squatting feels fine on this hip, as do positions like lotus and cobbler pose. What feels terrible is moving from a standing position. Any ideas for relief of this?

We had our third day of substitute coaching soccer yesterday. Only 3 of the 8 kids showed up b/c of rain, or whatever. It was peaceful to sit in the rain and watch the kids play.

Today I think I'll plug in the laptop to watch Business of Being Born with DD and do some beading while we watch. I'm making her a bracelet with my extra beads from the swap, to remind her that she can do anything she sets her mind to! She's really looking forward to cutting the umbelical cord. DH is a little jealous that she'll get to, so they'll do so jointly.

Tara- just like you, I need to get going on my belly cast, and my maternity pics.

Good day to all!

Kelli, the pain in your hip sounds like SI pain. A chiro can take care of that really easily. The pain you experience going from a sitting to standing position or moving while standing is a classic sign of the SI being out of alignment.

Thanks, Tara! I'll check it out tomorrow.

Wish I had better news...but alas, I too was up all night. Why does this "labor" seem totally the real thing, but never takes off!!!???? : It is impossible to ignore and borderline uncomfortable. Ugh... Not sure how much of this I can take. What is even more annoy is my mw thinks popping a few mag/cal pills should do the trick and all should be hunky dory!
Mediation for today: "Peace and Patience"
Hang in there ladies! We can do this!!! It will be over soon.

to everyone who can't sleep well. I am sleeping ok but waking up often with terrible leg uncomfortableness that is getting harder and harder to get rid of. I am sorry you are so itchy Dahlea, that sounds awful.

I went to a free student massage practicum yesterday and it was horrible. I hope that yours is better crunchydoula. I went to one earlier in my pregnancy at a different school and it was awesome. I think I just got a bad massage therapist. She poked me a lot and was totally spastic. I have never felt like I wanted to get up and leave during a massage before, but this was that bad. I kept laying there with my eyes open thinking about when it would be over. And when I got up I had terrible shoulder pain because she only did one side of me so I was laying on it for 45 mins. Thanks for letting me rant. I think I will schedule with someone who I know is good (and pay for it) just to get some massage redemption.

I am having some pretty good contractions today and last night. I am trying my best to ignore them and tell myself that it could still be 2 or 3 weeks until I actually go into labor. It's getting harder because everyone (even my midwife) thinks that it might be time soon because I have been having so many (5-10 min apart every evening for weeks). They are starting to feel a little crampy, so I am sure something is happening. I am not to anxious to have the baby because in the last few days DH and I have rekindled our sexual relationship in a really great way and I am not sure that I am ready to give that up yet. We are also still working on getting our house ready since we just moved in 2 weeks ago.

I am sending out some ELVs to whoever may need them. I can't wait to hear about more babies being born! :

I actually had a decent night sleep which is a beautiful thing really. We were at a wedding last night and after my morning in the hospital for a nst and pih bloodwork I think I was just exhausted. Unfortunatly my younger son woke me up at 6 am by kicking me in the back. So I was up from then till 9:30 with both boys in my bed watching TV. Finally I got dh up(he was in my older sons bed) and he got the boys and I went back to sleep till 11:30 which was really really nice.

I have a yucky cold right now which really sucks and my midwife is off call till monday the 13th so I am actually hoping this baby stays put till then so I can rest up and heal from this damn cold and then be healthy and get my midwife rather then her back up next week. So wish me luck!!
