sounds like most of us aren't sleeping very well

i have been having some pretty crazy, intense dreams lately. the night before last almost every dream i had was of being in labor. last night i wasn't pregnant in my dreams at all, but was racing bikes and kayaks, running and being chased, and swimming in salty water. I actually woke up because I spit into my pillow. the taste of salt was so strong in my dream. oh yeah. and marching in a marching band, but I lost my trumpet and had to carry cymbals instead. and after being chased I woke up out of breath. there were also a lot of, um, other men in my dreams. friends from highschool or college. no one I actually had an intimate relationship with, though I wouldn't have minded at the time

at some point i was also dreaming about eating icecream. dh woke up too in the night and we shared the last of our pint of pineapple coconut ice-cream at 3am this morning.

^Interesting dreams giarose! How nice to share some ice cream though since you were both up.

Just checking in... I too am too restless to do personals, so ELVs to those who need them and good sleep vibes to those having hard nights!

Dh and I went shopping for the last of our birthing supplies yesterday and got everything except for flannel backed vinyl table cloths. We can't find them anywhere! People keep telling us it's the wrong time of year for picnics... well thanks, that's not what we need it for!

My belly is feeling tight and sore today, so probably a growth spurt or something. Lots of crampiness still, but again, I can't tell if it's digestive upset from taking so much iron or contx! It's very frustrating. And I'm having hip pain, though taking hot showers and baths is helping with that. I just wake up feeling like I've got a solid brick of concrete for a pelvis! And I feel huge and heavy. Other than that, I'm doing good!

Check fabric stores. I'm pretty sure I've seen it in my local Hancock's Fabric for sale by the yard (I guess). Don't know how much it costs though. Also, you've probably checked already, but maybe dollar stores or Big Lots or the like? They have all sorts of random stuff.

Wal Mart carries this type of fabric by the yard. My MIL bought some with a Mizzou print on it for a table cloth for tailgates. Hope you find it! You might also check party supply stores.

Joann's sells that kind of fabric by the yard, too.

I ahev some with turkeys akll over it. . . but I'm actually gonna put it on my table!

girls, I think I'm having real ctrx. . . we'll see. :

Tomorrow I go see the mw's again. They'll do a BP check, check my urine, review my labs from Friday, and probably do a non-stress test. I'm hopeing by tomorrow mornign I'll be calling them to tell them I'm in labor!

If not, and they want to try hurry things along, I'll ask them to sweep my membranes and get me a breast pump, and we'll try that first.

BP is still pretty much down- OOhhhh, here comes a contaction now. . . !

For those of you making large batches of RRL tea/pregnancy tea using premade tea bags: I have a question for you.

How many bags are you using for one pitcher's worth? I have an iced tea maker (Mr. Tea) and I figured I could just make it using that but there aren't any instructions on the tea box on how many bags is standard for 2qts.

Oooh! Good luck heidirk!

Went out today to an Arts and Crafts Festival, where my other sister-in-law (not the lactation consultant/CBE I mention here a lot) had a booth to sell her amazing furniture. I bought this whimsical backwards clock for the nursery from her.

Nothing to do with babies, I know, but I love to brag about her furniture, so I'll post a link to her online portfolio here if anyone is interested in browsing the pics. Absolutely gorgeous work.

They had funnel cake there. YUM! Then we saw a matinee (popcorn - YUM!).

Ah, here's a pic of my finished bead swap project. It's really simple, but I like it! In childbirth classes, we were advised to have a "focal point" to focus on during labor, so I immediately thought of the bead swap beads. I decided to do a frame for the 3D u/s pic with the beads. DH helped me out with the glue gun and he added the lily and text to the photo. I can't think of a better "focal point" than a photo of my little cutie surrounded by the gorgeous DDC beads!

If the baby doesn't come tonight, I have a maternity photo session scheduled for in the morning. Wish me luck that they turn out well. I really hate to be photographed, but I love my belly and want to be able to remember it and show it to Calla, too.

Cat, that clock is super cute!!! I'm still trying to decide if I want one in the nursery. Ooooo, I could totally go for some funnel cake!!!! I've wanted some for so long and was hoping it would be available at a football game but no luck. Lucky you! Love the finished bead project too!! That's what I'm planning to do with mine after the birth...for now it's just a string of beads.
