Umbillical stump question

It's been so long since I've had a newborn around that I don't remember how long it took my son's to fall off. Desi will be 2 weeks old tomorrow and his stump still hasn't come off, and it's been bloody. It doesn't seem to be bothering him, but I didn't know if it's something I should be worried about. TIA!!

I recently read a little typical development synopsis for three weeks and it said that if the stump was still there, not to worry and it shouldn't be much longer. DD's came off after a week, so I was a bit surprised to see that there.

Both of my children's stumps fell off after just a few days so I'm not sure but I think I've heard other women say it was a couple weeks or so.

Marion's fell off at 2w2d - her's had a bit of discharge, but we just wiped it cleaned with a cotton ball and a tiny bit of water.

My baby's stump came off after a week, but she still bleeds from her belly button. How long is the bleeding supposed to last?

Where would I find Golden Seal? Dh generally calls him Des, but I tend to call him Desi, I feel kinda bad for him though, because his middle name is Alexander, and the last name is 12 letters long... he has a monsterous name to learn to spell one day.

Lucas' fell off Friday...it still bleeds a tiny bit so I swab with alcohol or pour a little in his navel.

Going on 5wks and dd still has her stump. It doesn't even look like it's almost off. It looks fine, though. I remember dd1 keeping hers around awhile, too. I go back and forth between not worrying and thinking I must be doing something wrong. She does look like her innie may be pretty deep, but I haven't seen alot of other umbilical stumps to compare.

Both my girls' stumps fell off on the fourth day. First one has an outie, this one has a partial outie. With DD1, I didn't put diapers on her (just wrapped her in a prefold and blanket) until she was all healed, but with this one it is not as practical because it's colder and I need to actually put clothes on her. It's taking a little longer to heal, but the goldenseal seems to help. I ordered a couple of capsules in my birth kit, and sprinkle some powder out of the capsule when I think of it. The bleedy part is the innie part... I bet the less air getting to it has something to do with the healing time as well.

My baby's pedi recommended a little hydrogen peroxide. I just started yesterday and it's loosening. It doesn't look quite ready underneath the stump but she did say the hydrogen peroxide helps to dry out that area.
