Something natural for wrinkles and undereye area.

Is there something really natural for wrinkles and the undereye area? I use Chagrin Valley shampoo bars, funk butter and Dr. Bronner's and I would like something with those types of ingredients. Nothing unpronounceable and I know what everything is

I buy from them in the UK their frankincense range comes highly recommended for maturing skin.

You could also use pure Vit C (l ascorbic acid) powder to make your own topical Vit C serum, mixed with some filtered water. You could also add vegetable glycerin or your favorite oil. I think you would need a 15-20% concentration of Vit C for it to work.

I use the Burt's Bees Ageless serum -- just a bunch of different oils. Smells nice, but no added fragrance (unlike most of their other products).

It's spendy but it lasts forever. I just pat on 1-2 drops when my skin is still damp from washing.

I like Alexandra Avery products. Here's a link w/ ingredients:

Almond Cream or Dream Cream might work for you.

Thanks for the replies! Any suggestions for undereye puffiness?

What about that rose hip seed oil? I haven't tried it yet myself but am thinking about getting some.

I put shea butter under my eyes every night and I think they look much better!

You could try witch hazel for the puffiness.

i have used rosehip seed oil as a moisturizer for my face and was very happy with it as it decreases wrinkles. recently though i ran out. i had heard some very good things about monoi de tahiti oil and i had some on hand, so i tried that. i don't think i'll ever use another moisturizer on my face again. my skin is sooooo soft, it has eliminated the wrinkles and lines around my eyes, and it smells wonderful.

Would Witch Hazel be drying?

I looked up the monoi oil and this site says it's made by soaking tiare petals in coconut oil. Anyone know if plain coconut oil would work too or if the flowers are the key ingredient?

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Plain coconut oil works just the same, and costs a lot less.

i use a witch hazel toner on my face every day, and it's not drying at all. i use the rose scented one from thayers.

as for the monoi de tahiti, from what i've read, the flowers are the key ingredient as far as reversing signs of aging goes. and it's not that expensive depending on where you get it. i have a 5 oz spray bottle that only cost me $7.50.

New to this... but very interested!

So is Monoi de Tahiti better than rosehip seed oil for anti-aging effects?

Do you just put either of them straight onto skin, or dilute or mix with something else?

thanks!

I just put the rose hips on straight and it's been great! I'll be interested to hear about the Monoi vs Rose hips too. I finally used the witch hazel and love it. :

Wowzers! I used some Rose Hip Seed Oil for the past few days on the small wrinkles between my eyebrows. I didn't really have high expectations because I just thought that nothing would probably really work. But in just a few days they have become so faint! To where I have to look real close to see them! Now I am like, "What the heck is in there that is making it work?" Does it swell your skin ever so slightly or something? It is just plain weird and awesome!

Vitamin C (calcium ascorbate not citric acid which can't be absorbed transdermally) mixed with honey plumps and moisturizes the skin. It's also cheap too. Leaving it on for just an hour everyday is enough.

So, where do you all buy your monoi de tahiti, rosehip oil (or is it rosehip seed oil, or is it the same thing?)? I'm intrigued, but don't want to bust the budget overpaying online.
