I have looked and been unable to find one. I'm not crafty enough to make my own up, even just a circle. lol

Does anyone know of a pattern?

Thanks! :

I made a few for myself with my last guy, here's what I did: (worsted weight, with an H hook, I think)

chain 5, join in loop with slip stitch.
single crochet 8 times in loop.
work two single crochet in each previous sc (16 sts)
(sc, sc twice in next stitch) repeat 8 times (24 sts)
(sc, sc, sc twice in next stitch) repeat 8 times (32 sts)
sc around
(sc, sc, sc twice in next stitch) repeat 8 times (40 sts)
sc around for two rounds

hope that works for ya

Thanks SO much for taking the time to write that out for me. Did you use wool, acrylic or cotton? What do you think would be best for leakage?

I used wool, because I'm a heavy-duty leaker. If you don't gush, then I think cotton would work well - absorbent enough to catch dribbles, but if it gets too wet it'll leak through to your shirt. Acrylic, defintiely NOT - won't absorb anything, so it'll all leak straight through.

Or...

You can go to the thrift shop and buy a cheap (but soft) wool sweater and felt it. Cut out appropriately sized circles and voila! A whole stack of nursing pads for the cost of 1 seconhand sweater. And practically no work.

They worked great for me and I was a super heavy duty leaker.

What a great idea!

How do you felt it?

ETA: Beth, every time I see your name I think of my mom. Her name is Beth and she lives in Austin. Part of her email address is Bethtx...so it always reminds me of her.
