Chicken Pox shot

My first dd is up on all her shots except the last chicken Pox shot and the Hep A shot. She was supposed to get the last CP shot last year but I just had a baby and the doc felt like it was too big a risk to get it then and suggested waiting. She has her well check up visit today and I am thinking they are going to want to give her the shot. I don't think I want her to have it. I haven't vaccinated my 1 yr old at all...still thinking about her shots right now and don't want to vaccinate for a while...maybe a year or two if at all. So is there any medical reason that I can't say NO to this shot today?

No, there isn't. Just tell them that you have decided to research some more before giving your children any more vaccines.

What she said.

i think that this wouldn't count as a medical reason in most drs' minds, but...

hep A is usually asymptomatic in children, and then they have lifelong immunity!

chicken pox is usually harmless but annoying and then the kids have lifelong immunity!

complications from those diseases are probably less likely than complications from the vaxes. b/c reactions are underreported and there are no long-term studies w/ a unvaxed control group, you can't really know the long-term effects of the vaxes.
