More Natural Treatment for Pimples

Hi. Just wondering if anyone has a good more natural cure to pimples. I have some friends that use Proactiv, but after reading about it...I am not too confident about using it. I read somewhere about tea tree oil being used. Just looking for suggestions to clear up my chin!!!

Thanks so much.

We use tea tree oil (TTO) soap (the cheap stuff from Trader Joe's) for face washing. Then my daughters use straight TTO on actual blemishes. They've had good luck with that.

I've found that the TTO soap is enough to prevent pimples for myself, and I don't need to use any straight TTO- but then my skin is a bit more, uh "mature" than theirs.

Thanks for replying. I will try some tea tree oil right on the pimples and see what happens. How many times each day do you recommend using it? My skin should be more mature (LOL - I am in my mid 30s) but I am like a teenager all over again.

I put honey on mine before bed if I have a zit. It takes about 2 nights of that to go away. Washing in honey really helps prevent them. It is a little drying, but I did eventually adjust.

I have to agree with using honey. I make a face mask/wash with 1 tsp honey and 1 tsp milk. Mix it well and smooth it all over your face. Let it set for about 10 minutes, then rinse. Tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios! I wash with this most days and about once a week I use it as a mask. If I get a stubborn pimple, I put some TTO on it, let it soak in, then dab honey on it for over night. Some people swear that toothpaste works great, too, just not the gel kind.

I just started spot-treating with TTO and it seems to be working. I do use a fancy cleanser right now - I'm preg and my face is a total mess, but I want to find a more natural cleanser and I hear that grapeseed oil has astringent qualities, and jojoba (which I'm moisturizing with) works well also.

I have also heard this repeatedly about the honey mask...what kind of honey should you use? I have a great source for natural fresh-from-the-hive but they've got all sorts of "flavors"

Raw honey (washing with it, spot treatment over night and used as a mask all work) is a lifesaver.
