Diaper Patterns

Thread Starter
I'm buying some patterns (I'll also use some free ones online, but I like having an actual pattern in front of me) this week. Which ones do you like best? Which are easiest for a diaper making newbie to sew?

I'll probably buy 3-4 different patterns.

I do not like the Chloe Toe's patterns... I'm just not fond of all that elastic that needs to be sewn all over it. I do not have a serger, I'll be turning and topstitching.

So hit me with all your ideas!

Thanks so much!

I like the very baby aio pattern at verybaby.com. You can make fitteds from it as well.

Thank you! :

I forgot to mention in my first post that I'm leaning more towards AIO's and pocket diapers... I'm not really fond of needing diaper covers. (That probably would have been good to mention, huh? LOL!)

I : fattycakes. It works awesome for my chunky DD. There aren't a lot of instructions though, but you can find tons of info about it on the diaper divas forum.

If you want something more complete, I've been told the Darling Diaper pattern is awesome b/c of all the different options available to you with regards to what kind of diaper you want to make. Also, it comes with very clear instructions which might be helpful.

My faves are the Darling Diapers Unlimited, Fattycakes, and the Little Starters from Little Comet Tails.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate all the help! I ended up get a KCK One, a Very Baby AIO and a Celtic Cloth AIO. At least I think those are the three I bought.

I have since constructed my own pattern....I think most diaper sewers end up doing this to some degree...

But Very Baby AIO hands down my fave

So easy...So functional...super cute

Very gratifying IMHO

Good Luck
