I’m sure ya’ll have heard me complain about BH contractions before and this is just another one of those posts, lol.

Tonight while talking on the phone with my mom I used a timer to see what was going on and this is what I got:

So yeah, I sat for 30 mins almost and time those dang things! I would have timed more but I had to start supper... I continued having them while cooking. Am still having them. GAH! It’s aggravating! This is what I deal with at least once a day every day!

Why does she have to tease me and get my hopes up so often?? Someone tell her to either STOP IT or decide to come out!

Yeah, the braxton hicks contractions have been picking up over here too, although nothing like what you're dealing with! I too wish they'd either go away or turn into the real thing. Preferably the latter, of course. I'm trying not to pay any attention to them, and therefore not falsely get my hopes up, but it's so gosh darn hard... :

Yup, I am right there with ya. Having them as I type. I have even been having some painful ones....well ok not totally painful but very uncomfortable ones. I will have a bunch of painless BH and then get a whopper and then they go back to being painless. Mine have been about 3 mins apart all evening. Even during/after sitting in the bath.

me too..... fingers crossed that tonight is the night!! I'm too excited to sleep, but I guess I need to go lay down so that I'll be rested if this is it I just really want to labor at night while the toddler is sleeping. I'm a little worried about how she'll handle labor.....

He he... Tonight would be nice bc I had a nice 3 hour nap today and my son is at grandma's house, lol. Eitehr that or wait til this weekend cause he be at Grandma's house ALL weekend! I love my mommy!!

I am feeling that way too, ND. I actually feel like myself again, minus the cough of course and have a TON of energy tonight. Although I would like to wait a week or more to have this baby I definately wouldn't object if it happened tonight LOL. I am still having uncomfy BH that are fairly close together. They started this afternoon at about 3:00 and are still coming fairly regularly and it is now almost 11:00 PM. Like I said, I even had a bath and they came during and after that. I hope this is our night.

Well... still not regular, but still coming about 2-5 mins apart and about 45 seconds each. About to take a shower and go to bed, so we'll see. I don't think this is it, but it would be nice, lol

Well, wasn't it. I layed down to go to sleep and they stopped. Grrrr. Oh well. Today is another day. I was completely happy waiting until yesterday evening. We went to do some last minute shopping and I saw a friend and she had her 3 week old daughter with her. I got to hold her baby and now I want mine!!

How is everyone else doing this morning?

Things have picked back up here. About 1/2 hour after I woke up I started feeling nauseous. Shortly after that I started having contractions. Very uncomfortable but not worth timing. They are still sporadic. 2 mins, 7 mins, 10 mins....basically whenever LOL. I got hungry and tried to eat but that was a no go. It made me feel instantly sick again. Will update after I lay down and have a nap.

Sending good thoughts to everyone who is feeling "close but no cigar"...

I went into the L&D early this morning because I kept waking up last night feeling terribly shaky and nauseous; I also felt like I was having contrax really close together. They hooked me up to monitor for a while, and I was having them 5 minutes apart. I'm 100% effaced and 2cm dilated, so they sent me home. Baby was at -2.

Still feeling nauseous and like I'm about to get my period. I think I'm still having contrax but I'm trying to ignore them...

Crap. So my contractions last night lasted for 5 EFFIN HOURS! And through the whole thing it was 2-5 mins apart lasting for 30-60 seconds. I decide, well if this is it, I might as well get some rest because I could be in labor for a long time. So I go shower (bc sometimes it makes my BH go away) and I'm still having them. Get ready for bed and the second I lie down they suddenly stop! None. Nada. I laid there tossing and turning unable to go to sleep for about 45 mins and not a single one attacked. *sighs*

And then I started having them this morning. And now they are gone. Again. I'm getting mad, lmao. I was fine and content til last night because I was really thinking "This could be it." My baby's being mean to me I hope that if anything it at least dilated or effeced me a bit, lol. Just a tiny wee bit.

Aww, girls. Sounds like we are basically going through the same thing. I hope something happens for at least some of us soon.

I layed down this morning to have a nap and same thing....nothing. I just got up and I feel fine. No contractions, no nausea.....but then again, that is how I felt this morning when I woke up too, for about half an hour. This morning the contractions were bordering on very uncomfortable and painful and during them I was having a lot of pressure in my bum. Wierd how you wish that they would hurt more LOL.

I am going to eat something spicy for lunch and take a walk.

I'm so sorry! I wish I could give you all a hug. I've also been having contrax on and off for the last couple of weeks. It gets so mentally and physically exhausting. I know to expect this because it happens with all of my pregnancies, but it still is hard to handle.

I hope everyone either gets a nice break from contractions or they pick up and become the "real deal" for you soon!

I am officially joining this camp. Last night I woke with ctx about 5 min apart. at 1am. I had bloody show at 5:30. Called my midwife with the update about 8:30. She called back at 10am to say drink a glass of wine and try to nap since I didn't sleep last night. As soon as I drank that and laid down, ctx stopped. Luckily I was able to sleep a couple of hours, but now ctx are very sporadic, like every 15min or so. I am going on a walk now to see if they will pick up again.

Well, contractions picked up again. Not super painful but quite uncomfortable. Pain is really low and I am getting lots and lots of pressure pain in my bum (sorry if that is TMI). They are about 8 mins apart.....and then sporadic.....and then back to about 8 mins apart. Lasting about a minute. I called my midwife and she said it sounds like pre-labor and that it could turn into actual labor anytime or it could take a week or two yet.....yippee I hope it is sooner rather than later. She said for me to call her back this evening and let her know what is going on. I will update again later if anything changes.

still no baby here either. I've gotten to the point that I'm just ignoring the BH contractions. Once I feel "pain" then I'll know for sure!!! I think I'm just anxious!!!!! I wasn't this ready to be done last time. I guess because I feel like I'm being a bad mommy to my little girl. I just don't have the energy/patience right now! My heartburn is HORRIBLE!!!! Just complaining over here.....updates anyone?!?!?!
