return of menses

Someone tell me if this post belongs somewhere else . . . .

Is it common to have irregular cycles, once they begin again, while still bfeeding frequently?

I have always had a long cycle, 33-35 days avg. After dd1 I didn't have periods again till 13 mos. They were pretty much normal, as I recall. I only had about 3 cycles before we conceived dd2, while still bfeeding several times through the day and usually in the night too.

After dd2 I had a period at about 15 mos, and haven't since. I finally got around to counting how many days it's been, and it was over 40. Did a pg test, it was negative. I have had a cycle this long before, maybe once every 5 years or so. Have never skipped a period altogether in my life, that's 30 years of menstruating (not counting when I was pg and/or had a young bfeeding baby). I feel pretty normal otherwise.

Yeah, totally. In fact, it's pretty much the norm. I had my first one at 12 months after my daughter, and didn't have another one for two solid months.
