Brixton Babes

Okay...babes isn't my favourite choice of words necessarily but I was going for a catchy title , something to go with Brixton ( hmmm....beauties, beasties? LOL)

I move into my new place in Tulse Hill officially Dec 22 ( provided of course that my reference check works out LOL...we've paid our fees and have started the paperwork. The landlord has accepted our offer so I'm very optimistic and manifesting HARD that this will be our home!! ) Then we head off to Wales for the solstice/giftmas season.

I have NO idea when our stuff will arrive and clear customs but am crossing fingers that it will be here and ready for delivery on our about Dec 29 otherwise I'm pretty much in an empty house. EEKS! Holy camping out batman! ( Note to self- I did live in a school bus next to a manure pile with 5 kids then aged 7 months, 2, 4, 7 and 8 and therefore I can live anywhere)

If the meet up happened and I missed it boohoo for me but I hope you all had a great time. In any event I propose that once I get somewhat settled ( and with a work force of 5 kids home all day that should happen fast!) Calpurnia and Knitti come on by for tea and yummies ( someone has to eat all my leftover christmas goodies lest I do!)

Would that rock yer socks?

Happy to know that there are folks near me Smilin' biggie big

Peace peeps
Tracy

Editing to add
Of course other NOT in the Brixton area are welcome to come too! This isn't an exclusive club I love having a house full of people ( hence the 5 kiddos!)

Would also be interested in joining a meetup - although a bit hard to contemplate an outdoor one in this freezing weather. We were at the Diana playground last week, and my kids who love it there and can usually spend the better part of the day, were ready to go with no fuss after less than an hour because it was so cold. Hopefully we'll have some warmer days soon and we can plan something.

I'm on the end of the tube in northeast London with a 4 and 6 yr old who are in school so it would need to be a weekend for us. But anywhere in central(ish) London is fine. We've been here 2 years now and are making nice friends but a dose of MDC folk in real life would be really nice as it is way mainstream here.

We're IN

hey folks

We moved into our new house WITH all our stuff on the 29th December as predicted . I'm working my way through the boxes and am making good progress.

Let's do try to have a get together soon. I'd love to meet MDC peeps!

I'll be in touch soon ( when I have home internet on Monday and don't have to resort to coming to the pub to log on ...*sigh* poor me...must have a pint with my internet *grin*)

peace
