MI Paste for toddler?

Thread Starter
My 21 mo has what I think is ECC - she has some white streaks on her front teeth, and one of the teeth next to her front right tooth is light brown/dark yellow near the gumline and has a bit indentation.

I am thinking of starting a Xylitol/MI Paste regiment with her, but dont know how to use the MI Paste.

1) My toddler doesnt know how to spit yet - can the MI Paste stay on her teeth and then just be swallowed?

2) And how much MI Paste is safe to use per day with a toddler?

3) Should we use the MI Paste as her 3x day toothpaste, or put it on her teeth at night before bed?

Thanks for any advice.

My dentist said it could be used on my two year old even if she doesn't spit it out. Just a small half a pea sized amount. We bush with toothpaste first then I rinse and dry off her toothbrush and use the MI paste. She tries to spit but most of the time nothing comes out. We use it before bedtime and no drinking for 30min except I do let her nurse but I am pregnant so nothing comes out.

We have used MI Paste since my younger DD was about 2. We use it before bed and rub it on the teeth with a finger. It is okay to swallow.

You also can brush with it if you think that will work better.

My DD's teeth are still discolored but the cavitated areas are now strong and hard.
