We are not going to find out because we're not doing an ultrasound. Atleast that is the game plan right now. If there is any reason later in the pregnancy that we need to have an ultrasound then we are so going to find out. I'm a planner as well, so I REALLY want to know, but it will be fun to have it be a surprise!

I hate yellow. :-)

I wanna know! Yep, yep, yep!

I'd have to have an ultrasound or amnio to find out, so the answer is "no". I don't really like surprises, but I don't like the thought of the risks of these tests even more. I didn't with my other two and had no problem bonding with either of them before they were born.

Last time dh wanted to find out and I didn't. He convinced me, lol. This time we both want to know but we are kind of hesitant because last time we found out our baby had passed away when we got the gender ultrasound.

No.
I found out the sex with my last 2 and as this is probably my last pregnancy I really want a surprise!

I love how the results keep hovering around 50/50, even as more people respond. I guess at least here on MDC, either way is normal!
On MDC, you have a lot more people not getting u/s at all, so that kind of skews the results. On a mainstream list, it'd probably be a LOT higher on the "finding out" side, because most people want to find out if the u/s is sitting there showing it.

I'll be just as surprised when I find out at 20 weeks as I would at 40 weeks.

We didn't want to know, nor did we have u/s to tell us if we did want to know, the sex of DD or DS.

Because we're having a u/s this time (long story) and because it's our last chance to try it this way, we do want to find out this time. It's just a benefit that we'll be able to get rid of all the "wrong" stuff and start minimizing the flock of rubbermaid bins holding baby clothes in our attic!

We'll find out, for sure. We did last time. I'm not a fan of surprises. Also, we'd really like another girl and if it's a boy, we'll need a wee bit of time to adjust to the idea. We'd love him to bits, of course!

No.

I found out with my son and I needed that. He was not 'planned' and tbh, I was not sure how I felt about it at the time. We had only just gotten married and I considered myself young. (despite being a housewife with a DH nearly 12 years older than I was and being well looked after, quite settled, etc! hehe)... It really did help me to bond with him and accept the pregnancy tbh.

But...I dont need that this time. This pregnancy was planned. I am also very sure of myself now as a woman and mother.
Also - Things did not go quite to plan with DS. He was near 11lbs, breech, and ended up being born via C-Section. I am planning an HBAC with this one. Besides me just finding it romantically wonderfully to have a beautiful homebirth and immediatly hold my baby in my arms to look down and find out if I have a new son or daughter (im tearing up here ladies!!!)... If it does go all tits up again (lol) - I will still have something to look forward to in the end!!!

I am not doing an u/s anyhow this time - so no choice in the matter really! I can have fun guessing though! hehe

Boy...girl...I wont mind! Just a baby would be nice! hehe

I generally hate surprises because I'm a planner, but we found out with our previous four. We have two boys and two girls ~ this tie breaker is going to be a surprise. The waiting is going to be torment! Knowing me I'll end up sewing a complete stash of each boy and girl diapers and clothing and then just list whichever we don't have to sell in my store. Not planning is just not an option for me!

I was thinking of sewing both boy and girl stashes of diapers, but then it dawned on me that I barely got the stash for Aaron done last time because I didn't get the diaper sewing bug until 32 weeks. I'm not really in the mood to sew diapers quite yet... still working on other stuff on the list before I get fatigued!

No... I think I will wait.....

until 16-18 weeks gestation!

I REALLY want to know.. I can't wait until birth, I just can't!

I didn't vote in the poll because I have no idea... lol

Part of me says: Yeah!
Part of me says: Nah!

And the rest of me is still saying: ZOMGWTFBBQ!!!!!!

I do because I'm a planner and I want to shop . DF wants to wait until the baby is born because he's all about surprises. I think he will eventually cave at some point. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
