: congrats tara, and welcome to your new daughter!!!! what an amazing birth story. i think it's a true testament to how fit and healthy you are - a birth class friend of mine was an avid runner throughout pregnancy, and also had quite an amazing and "easy" first birth, by comparison to the norm!!

Great story, Tara! How great that your hospital has that bed for all to sleep in in the same room where you delivered. You lucky city-dweller (okay, not the rush hour traffic part.)

Enjoy that babymoon.

Tara, what an amazing birth story. I literally had tears in my eyes reading it, and then actually cried when I got to the part where your husband announced "it's a girl!". How incredible. You did beautifully. Isn't it amazing how powerful giving birth is? Enjoy your daughter, the first few days are so incredible and new babies are so delicious!

I am still so excited for you that she came on your anniversary - I think that is just so great. Enjoy your babymoon - and join us on the PP Support Thread when you are up to it!

Tara, what a wonderful, positive birth story JUST what my hypno birthing instructor told us to surround ourselves with.
I cried pretty much through your entire post. So happy for the three of you!

It was brought to my attention that I left out when my water broke! Oops! Well, we don't really know when it broke. It was sometime when I was in the tub at the hospital but I didn't feel it. I think it was probably when the ctx changed and the pressure got to it's peak intensity. My OB just said that it wasn't there when we started pushing...she could see nothing but hair.
