modeling clay

I'm looking for a nice quality modeling clay that does not stain or mark surfaces. What we have now stains hands, clothes, and our table.

Suggestions please? If I can get it from Rainbow that would be great as I will be placing an order soon.

What do you want to do? Do you want clay that will harden into a dried or baked completed project, or do you want something that will remain moldable for more than one project?

For kids who have enough hand strength and heat to make it work, I love beeswax for continuous moldability. It smells wonderful, and you can get quite detailed sculptures.

If you want something that will harden we love this http://www.rainbowresource.com/produ...527494-1680790.

It's easy to use and can be painted.

i use crayola air dry clay for most things, then we paint it, and seal it with modge podge lustre. other than that, my favorite modeling clay is sculpey. rainbow resource may have it? but here's a link to it: www.sculpey.com

lastly, i LOVE this clay...which is as similar as i can find to pottery... http://www.bigceramicstore.com/Suppl.../ovencraft.htm

Oh, sorry. I'm looking for modeling clay that stays soft.

My boys get plenty of time with hardening clay at art class.
