Has anyone used Lylaine Gavette, Midwife?

She was practically legendary at the Bethany Birth Center when I was there for my first birth. I had only one visit with Lylaine and loved her, and my midwife (Lynette) loved her too. I wish I could give you more of a personal reference for her, but all I can say is that I have heard only rave reviews.

Where is she now, if you don't mind my asking?

She has been in New Zeland for a few years and has recently returned to Bethany Women's Care to help create a type of "birth center" within Phoenix Baptist. I actually had an appointment with another midwife, something happened and I ended up waiting for 1.5 hours with a screaming 1 year old. I went up the counter sobbing and said I just needed to see someone (was just a consultation). She must have felt sorry for me so she came out and I talked to her. She said she was one of the founders of Bethany Birth Center and she was devastated when it closed so she had to come back and help get the birth center concept back even if it is inside a hospital.
She put my mind at ease when I talked to her and when I asked her when I would need an appointment she said in 1 month and she said she would be seeing clients in 1 month so she agreed to see me.
Everything happens for a reason! I just had never heard of her so I was just wondering. I am glad to hear she has a great reputation. Thank you!
