I feel like *I* need structure!

I posted THIS THREAD not too long ago. I feel like I want DD to learn at her own pace, but then *I* feel like the slacker, and feel like *I* don't provide enough opportunities for her to learn.

I was looking at beestar.org at first grade math, and she doesn't know 3/4 of it . I feel like I need a bit of structure or some sort of general guide on what to present to her each week or something; something new everyday would be too much for her I think. Is there a basic guide somewhere?

I hope someone understands what I'm trying to say here .

My DD is about the same age. But I have only just started her in K material. But the way I see it if you are doing first material, the school year is about a quarter of the way through. If she doesn't know 3/4, then she must know 1/4. I guess that puts her where she should be at 1/4 of the way through the school year

I am a "must have order" type person as well. There are lots of lists in my house. I make the list VERY general. So I have my list and feel better for me. But the list is general and loose so that it can vary day to day based on what my kids are doing now. I hope that made sense?

Thanks, I didn't think about it that way. I sometimes feel too stupid to do this!

How do you decide what to put on that list?

You might browse the World Book guide to what's normally listed as goals for schools: Typical Course of Study - Lillian
