What can I knit with this fiber????????

I'm a sucker for novelty yarns, esp when I find them dirt cheap. The problem is, I have NO patterns for these yarns and they sit around in my yarn basket taunting me with their beautiful colors and funky textures!

I have two balls of beautiful d'anny blatt (France) yarn that I cannot figure out what to do with ... it was very expensive stuff and I scored both balls for a dollar, over a year ago. Here are the specs:

Weight: I suppose it's considered "fingering" weight, though it's a hair more substantial. Each ball is 50 g/100 m.

Fiber content:
63% viscose, 22% linen, 12% acrylic, 3% polyamide

Color: cream/oatmeal/earthy blue twist (not variegated)

suggested needle size :
9

The texture is like soft twine, which makes it impractical for any sort of clothing. I was thinking maybe a table runner? It's so beautiful, I really want to use it! Spam me with ideas/patterns PLEASE!

What is the name of the yarn? There are 10 pages of Anny Blatt yarns on RAV.

hopeful - anyone?

I believe that is supposed to be a carry along yarn... something you knit along with bamboo, wool or silk. A lot of Anny Blatt's scarf, shawl and even sweater patterns call for a few types of yarn.

Oooh, that sounds cool. In that case, I might enjoy making a shrug/bolero ... pattern links, anyone?
