Ok i'm going shopping tonight for foods to have in the house for labour and post partum...any idea's on what I should pick up for me and my support staff??

I was planning on getting fruit (especially grapes for freezing)
granola bars

but for some reason my mind blanks there....

We got in some biscuits and tea and sandwich fixings for the midwives and we always have loads of fruit. FIzzie water and OJ, soya yogurt, lots of quick easy things.

We also have a bottle of Cava for after the midwives leave if I can be bothered.

I'll be interested in what others were planning, too.

For labor I had Cliff and granola bars, gatorade, honey, and bottled water. I tried eating a Cliff bar during labor but it didn't want to go down, so I ended up mostly drinking. My mw wasn't here long enough to need to eat, but she took a bottled water with her on the way out.

Afterwards I've been going through the flavored instant oatmeal packets like crazy. Other quick and easy ideas are bagged salads, fresh fruit, cheese sticks, whole grain crackers, and yogurt. Really, just anything you can grab quickly and that doesn't require a lot of preparation.
