Shedding Post-Flu Vaccine?

I am currently doing childcare for a family that is going to be giving the flu vaccine to their children this coming week. My daughter is not vaccinated and will not be receiving a flu vaccine. I feel more than a bit ignorant for needing to ask this question, but will the vaccinated children be shedding flu virus that can be passed onto my daughter or myself, following their appt? What about following other vaccines? The little girl is soon to be turning two and will be receiving MMR shortly. Could this be harmful to my daughter?

The MMR might shed, but the flu shot won't (FluMist could, though). MMR, chickenpox, and oral polio all have the potential to shed (and I feel like there's another one that I'm missing...)

If the girl is getting FluMist it can shed (I think it was 21 days). The other flu vaxes won't.

MMR can shed in theory but I have seen little actualy evidence that people caught anything from it. Maybe someone else has some links that prove it does.

Chicken pox, rotovirus, and OPV (polio) are the other live vaxes. I thought chicken pox was done at year 1 but I don't know when the boosters are. That may be an issue.

2 years old is too old for the Rotovirus vax. OPV is no longer used in the US so yo don't have to worry about that one.

Thank you both of you for the info. I really appreciate your help.

Not to thread jack. But how should I keep my daughter away from some one getting the MMR Vac. or for that matter all the 6 month shots? She is 5 months old and wont get getting vac. I don't mind her getting the MMR a little later but I also wanna stay clear from the rotovirus when I know about it.

So I guess better asked is how long should I keep her away from anyone getting live vaccines?

Thanks

Ideally, I'd say 21 days.

Thanks. I know I can't keep her away from people i don't know in stores and such. But she does play with the same toys as the kids. So probably starting Friday we are going to give them 21 day vacation from each other.

Thanks again.
