Hi MrsCompGeek. I'm in Louisville and just started looking myself. This website seems helpful... http://birthcarenetwork.com/midwives.html

There is a midwife Juliet Dietch who does homebirths and is wonderful. I'm not 100% sure if she is taking on new clients right now. Birth care network would know. There is another Midwife Jennifer that also does homebirths, she and Juliet work together some. Also an awesome lady. If you are looking for a midwife for a hospital birth I think you have to go to Clark Memorial over in Indiana. Birth care network is definitely who to talk to to get referrals though.

If you are looking for a midwife for a hospital birth, the practice I use is called Woman Care in Jeffersonville. I live closer to Louisville in KY, but travel one hour to see Beth Bary (midwife) and I give birth at Clark Memorial. She is awesome! I highly recommend her.

Jennifer is an excellent midwife and I highly recommend her. Homebirth is where it's at.

I have a question. Would finding a homebirth midwife to attend a HBA4C be hard in KY?

Our house is for sale now, & I'm still trying to figure out if we should just stay in Michigan ( where I have a midwife picked out, or move out of state.

Thanks!

Finding a midwife, for hb or hospital birth, in Louisville is HARD. Right now we are looking at having to drive 20 minutes south to Bardstown to find a CNM, but if you are wanting a homebirth, then I have heard great things about Juliet Dietsch. I have spoken with her and she is VERY sweet!

Good luck!

Just curious, did you find someone to do a V4BAC?
