What would cyber school be under? (In Pa) also some other ?

Hello there!

First time I am on this forum. I am looking into doing cyber school for DS when he gets older, right now he's too young of course.

Anyway, I was wondering if there is any difference between cyberschool vs homeschool or unschooling?

Also, I just took DS to a ND (naturopathic doctor) in the area (he HS's all his kids) and he said that when they are of school age, by law they have to be 'seen' once a year by an MD (ND's aren't allowed to be licensed in Pa yet..hopefully that will change..sigh), and also every year by a dentist! :

Has anyone else heard this as well? I guess you can't just take your LO in if they are sick anymore. : Big bro wants to keep track of everyone apparently.

Cyber school is essentially doing public school at home. It's a little flexible so cyber schoolers can find homeschoolers to be useful resources for extra curricular activities, socialization opportunities and such.

Check out www.askpauline.com for details about the laws and requirements. It is a site by a homeschooler. The dental and medical check ups are not every year. Vision does seem to be annually. Measuring height and weight (by the teacher which would mean the parent for a homeschooler, don't know about for cyber school) is a annual thing.
