I am afraid to hope.

Last night I was waking up every 1-2 hrs because I was so uncomfortable. I slept terribly and there was no position that helped.

This morning I have been having contractions every 5-7 minutes since I woke up, plus some bloody show when I went to the bathroom. I showered, and now I'm making my hubby shower and pack the car and we're all going for a nice long walk.

I am 41w1d today. This had better be it!

Happy Friday ladies!! I'm excited for Dh to be home for 2 days too!

Audsma - sorry you had such a rough ending to your day! and hopefully today will be better!

Jeez, I really feel for all you ladies who've had about 2 weeks of this prodromal labor!! How frustrating! Just try and remember that no one, not ever, has ever stayed pregnant forever!!! Babies ALWAYS come out!!!

Cat - that's too cute your Dh is trying his hardest to get baby out! I've no idea about bloody show lasting so long, you could call and ask your CP and see what they have to say.

JMarie930 - I swear guys are the worst sickies ever!! Why do they always seem like they're dying when you just had the same exact bug and managed to take care of others and yourself?! Hope your Dh starts feeling better... for your sake!

Crunchy Doula - : that your LO comes before pre-e becomes an issue! I don't have anything going on in the next weeks either, so I'm right there with you with nothing to take my mind of when this little person is arriving.

Soogie - I'm totally there on the anti-social just want to hang out at home bit!! Funnily though, I'm also kind of lonely! What I'd really like is for just Dh and I to hang out at home I guess.

AAM: Cold and rainy weather is doing nothing for my motivation to get some of the things done around the house that I want to get done! Like mop the floors. They are in dire need... but it just seems like a sunny day activity to me!

Dh came home last night and crashed! Went straight to bed. It's so hard to spend all day entertaining your self with the prospect of your partner at least entertaining you for a *little* while before bed and then to be on your own all evening too. I seriously need to find something to do other than sitting around waiting for this baby! But we're broke at the moment and all my friends don't live around here. I've spent quite a lot of time on the phone though.

Yesterday I was noticing some BH throughout the day that involved some cervix cramping as well - first time I've had both together!! They kept up throughout last night too, waking me up to pee. Then this morning I had a HUGE bm (thank you, thank you, constipation SUCKS). They're all over the place irregular though, so I don't think anything *real* is happening. And they aren't annoying either, so that's good.

38 weeks today!!! I keep telling this LO that next week would be an awesome week to be born!

My due date is the 15th, but I wonder if the full moon on the 14th will do anything?:

I'm either 40 (by midwives) or 40+1 (by internet) today. Was woken up this morning at 6:21 by an incredible contraction - belly as hard as a rock, and crampy all over. Was hoping to be able to cancel my appointment for today, but no. Nothing came of it, all the contractions since have been braxton hicks. Gah. I'm trying very hard to be patient and just let this little one cook, but look - I'm just barely "due" and already having a hard time of it. Sigh. On the upside, we picked up our crib yesterday, so if I get the living room cleaned today I can rearrange a few things and get it set up. Also, the husbandperson is off work today, so he's going to take the car in to have the interior detailed. Then we can install the carseat! Then baby can *really* come. Oh wait. We still need to decide on names. Dang it. Maybe it's a good thing I didn't go early.

Just got back from my OB appt... Man these once a week things are tiresome, lol.

Anywho! Gained 3lbs... OOPS! Shouldn’t have ate almost a whole loaf of french bread the other night, he-he! No big deal though... still in a good range. About 34-35 lbs total now. Great BP & baby’s heart beat was nice and strong. Still measuring good. Told my OB about the contractions, nausea, and the bloody show and he was like "HMM! Sounds like your body’s getting you ready!" in a really interested tone of voice. I was surprised he didn’t ask to do a pelvic exam after I mentioned the bloody show (we don't do pelvics), but I guess he’s just kickass like that He didn’t "guesstimate" when I’d have the baby (which is great imo bc I have no expectations that way) and just said to make an appt for next week.

So everything is awesome! Woo-Hoo!!

And my little man goes back to Grandma's for the weekend so start sending me some major labor vibes to have my little girl this weekend while he's already with her!! :P She's supposed to watch him while I'm in labor, so ya know it'd just be more convenient this way, he-he!

Well, off to read all of your lovely posts! Labor vibes to those who want/need them and hope everyone has an awesome day!!!

Well then it's settled. Baby, you have to come this weekend! Actually, I've been hoping for that anyway. I have a bridal shower I'm co-hosting on Sunday, but any time that evening is good for me. Although, tonight or tomorrow would be fine as well. (I'm ok with missing the shower if need be. Don't wanna miss the actual wedding.)

NDFanatik, last week I gained 4 pounds in one week. Ooops indeed. Mind, it was after a few weeks of either no gain or a slight loss, so my midwife didn't seem to care. And I definitely hope that you go into labor, and soon! Maybe knowing that your son is well cared for will relax you enough to get everything started.

Looks like we might have a few more babes around here in a couple days!

As for me, thought perhaps early labor was starting yesterday, felt flu-ish, BH picked up but had only 2 ctx that I felt were "actual" contractions with the whole pain in the lower back radiating to the front...when I checked I was/am at 7cm (was 5cm yesterday)..it's like "Baby, you are RIGHT THERE, just come out!!"

I called the midwife, knowing I was not 'in labor' but wanted to give her a heads up because she lives 20 min. away and has already expressed that she doesn't think she will make it to the birth...she said she was coming into town and did I want her to do a sweeping of the membranes, and that likely it would go fast, but I declined. I had it done last pregnancy at 40w2days and it hurt like HECK and I still didn't have dd until 3 days later..I'm "only" 38.5/39weeks today so didn't want to chance it...

After discussing with hubby, he seemed 'into' the idea of doing the sweep tonight since he has the weekend off, which I was kinda surprised.. He works an hour away so he's worried though about me going into labour and no one being around.

As for plans today, my mom just called an hour ago and said she'd take the kids apple picking so I have the house all to myself..YAY!! Right now I'm just chillin', eating lunch and then I'll...I don't know, sew something? I have nothing to do!
Tonight I'm heading to walmart : for some reason that place makes my contractions pick up-- I've been prepared for the baby/homebirth for WEEKS now and I just realized yesterday I don't have any Lansinoh! That was one of the most vital things I had with both babes. I'm surprised I forgot it. and I'm also craving any and everything MINT, so I want to pick up some cocoa and make mint hot chocolates. YUM

OK I'm goin to stop now, I'm feeling sooo chatty, probably b/c I'm giddy that their is silence in the house.AAAAAAAAAAH today would be so perfect to have the babe. I'll be making some extra prayers that I do

I THINK I lose part of my mucus plug. Mom and I did the massive upstairs cleaning yesterday ( moving the beds washing bed spreads flipping mattresses etc) We are doing down stairs next week. Some pressure & a few BH's but not many. I still FEEL great. Have an appt Tues w/ my OB. My oldest has a football game tonight about 45 min away. HOPE something gets going soon.

Wow to all the mamas with early labor signs!!! I hope to hear some baby announcements to cheer me through the weekend

I am in a weird place mentally right now. DH's work project is getting annoying... and they had huge technical problems today on top of that making him really late for lunch (he comes home for lunch). I think I'm having issues because it has been really messing with our schedule the past couple weeks and I am most certainly a creature of routine and habit. Especially being so pregnant right now! So I feel a little uneasy almost and really just want to know things are going according to schedule so I can have my DH when I'm supposed to!!!

Also feeling guilty and know I'll feel crummy in a little while for eating a whole (HUGE) sugar cookie by myself.

In cheerful news our car seat finally arrived so we can clean the van and install that tomorrow. And my mw called and said we could pick up the tub b/c the other Oct. mama had her LO.

No labor signs for me so I'm still expecting to be a late Oct. mama

ok. im sure there are a few dh's upset w/ me right now.

the thing is i almost always buy HA and only at the outlet..and only when on sale. most of the stuff we have was $10 or less.

I just got back from my daily walk in the park. Started out nice, until the rowdy highschool kids attacked. They must be part of a track team or something, and I understand that your coach told you to run the trail and even race, but when there is a PREGNANT woman on the trail, DON'T almost knock her into the bushes, or into the creek (!!!), 3 TIMES!!!!

Seriously, it's a public park and there's always old people and pregnant women out strolling and the trails can get very narrow in parts. Their coach kept stopping them and talking to them, then starting them off running again, and so they happened to pass me 3 different times. Each time they didn't slow down or even try to accommodate the fact that there was a very pregnant woman walking on the same trail and I got physically brushed by a couple of them trying to pass each other each time. Luckily I didn't fall, but I'm not exactly graceful these days and it was enough to throw off my balance each time. Then the coach would call out "Remember there are other people on the trail!" when they'd stop again. Didn't seem like the coaches cared at all either.

Evening mamas!

I have been in such a foul mood today, and absolutely no energy. I'm only 36+1 and already impatient because DS was 36+3 and I am feeling so done already.

I spent the evening playing Wii Fit - doing hula hoops, and my hips and thighs feel so much better now! Off to take a nice long bath, and I'm exhausted, so bed will be early tonight.
