Are all birth balls made from PVC?

I am trying to keep our home as PVC-free as possible, but I would like to get a birth/exercise ball. However I can't seem to find any that aren't made with PVC. Am I just SOL and going to have to suck it up if I really want one? Or are there alternatives out there?

I'm a fitness instructor, so have worked with different brands of balls in the gyms in which I teach for years. Some brands I know of are SPRI & target has one.
I doubt there are any PVC-free ones. It needs to be flexible material, but strong so it won't burst. I don't know if there are other materials out there like that.

i know how you feel mama! i saw that they are making covers for birth balls now! i don't remember where i saw it, but i'm pretty sure it was on a homebirth supply website. hth!

Nothing to add except that I'm lol because dh has popped 2 expensive ones, bouncing our yds to sleep.

There were several in the little fitness section at TJ Maxx, that were PVC-free. They were marketed as exercise balls if I recall, definitely not being sold as birthing balls, but they're the same thing. I bought one and could tell the difference immediately: it didn't stink. But it works the same, looks the same, holds my weight fine, and I'm very pleased with it (plus it was way cheaper than a "birthing ball").

The ball as the word "Tilak" on it. I can't find the box it came in. Sorry. But definitely try TJ Maxx (or Marshalls) and see what they have. I was thrilled to find this one.
