I didn't see that line in whatever post it was quoted from, but I have to say that this is something that's pretty universally true. Helping a child with homework is somehow not at all similar to homeschooling, no matter what style or method you use to homeschool. A lot of people assume they could never homeschool because of the awful scenes they went through in helping with homework, but it's really not the same. It's kind of hard to know why that is - but it probably has to do with the fact that the homework is for someone else, often useless busy work, and the child feels the need for some time off after a full, tiring day of school.
