How in the heck did I do this?

Sorry so many questions guys, I am just getting comfortable with more advanced projects.

So I have been knitting a handbag in the round on circs. It is like 12'' tall/long whatever right now, however I noticed that the last few rounds have been insideout... ws out and rs in...


what the heck did I do?

I am not to terribly fussed with this because it it somewhat aesthetically pleasing and it is getting felted anyhow, but would like to know ffr...

I've never done this myself, but I think the only way it could have happened is if you picked up the piece and started knitting from the back. Like you would usually have your two needles in front of you and your work behind the needles. But instead you must have knitted with your work in between you and your needles, sort of like you would be looking down into your bag with your needles on the far side. Does that make sense? Which means you would actually have been knitting in the opposite direction. The other way you could accomplish this if you wanted to on purpose, would be to purl some rounds instead of knitting them. Since you're felting it I don't think it will make any difference at all.

And considering that I am felting it, would it mess it up if I sewed a pocket onto the front? Would that felt to the purse? It shouldn't right, because if it would, logically the purse would felt to itself right? As with most knits, I have only felted flat things... lol
