I've got a few months so I'd really like to make some gifts...simple but nice and eco friendly...I need to make one for DP parents, sister (could be a quirky one) and grandma - something very useful Then something quirky for my bro and his GF and my sister, useful and or quirky...by quirky I mean like a little animal or something.

Ideas please!?

How's this for the quirky little animal? I hand stitch blanket satin to it's ears and embroider his eyes and nose/mouth. Doesn't take long at ALL, and it is REALLY sweet! I LOVE it out of a grey sock with pink ears!!

How about some cloth grocery bags for the adults. Martha Stewart has a nice easy tute on how to make some from t-shirts.

i like the sock bunny...the shopping bag idea is really good...I could make bags for people with their style color....oooh, great gift, useful, eco and can be cute!
