Menstrual like pain?

I'm 38 weeks as of yesterday and I've been feeling well, the best way to put it is menstrual. Not cramps, but that kind of dull general soreness I always get during my period. It feels different from ligament pain. I couldn't really say if I've been getting ctx since I've been running around nonstop the last month!

Is this a normal end of pregnancy thing? A sign of labor?

I'm curious to read others' replies about this. I've been having the same feelings since last Friday morning: cramps, a bit of nauseau, and roller-coaster emotions. In other words, I've been having all the symptoms of PMS. : Am I about to get my period? ;-)

Im with you girls there. I really wish I could tell you it meant we were getting close but this has been going on for me for 5 days or more.

I feel this off and on lately. I remember feeling it a lot with my first baby. Ditto on the rollercoaster emotions too!

Yes! I have been having a dull near constant lower back pain for weeks and seriously that is what I would get before my period. I kept telling my DP that I feel like I am about to have it.

I am more tired, craving carbs/sugar, sleeping more, more emotional, feeling twinges of crampy feelings low down etc. It is all pre-menstrual feelings but I have been having them FOR WEEKS! Drives me nuts because I keep thinking "this should be the start of it" But well it hasn't started much except I am dilated a fingertip and 50% effaced. I would like for more but I will take what I get.

I feel this way too. Just kind of achy and crampy... I don't remember feeling this with DD.

I'm feeling menstrual lately too. A little bit achy sometimes but not all out crampy. I don't know what it means though. DS was born at 41w1d so I'm not expecting this baby to come for at least another 12 days or so. But we shall see.

I'd say it's normal. I'm not as crampy as I was with my first pregnancy, I was constantly crampy then entire time. It was terrible! Still went to 41wks, too. This time it's often, but not constant.

I am feeling the same. Like I'm PMSing on steroids. DH can't stand me and I can't stand myself!

I was feeling crampy/achy last night... I could time them though and they were about 5 minutes apart and they fizzled away after about an hour, as soon as I had something to drink. I think I was dehydrated, but I almost had to pay attention to them to really notice when they came and went . I never felt a contraction with DS until my water broke, so all I have to go on is super intense contractions (labor was under 3 hours)... I don't even know what I'm looking for.

All day today I've had that menstrual cramp feeling too. It's less cramping and more the "impending flow" feeling, like it could be at any minute. Moody? Oh yeah. Just like you said, Bella Catalina, DH is not enamored of me right now either. I would like this day to be over, and maybe tomorrow will be happier.

A couple of weeks! Well there goes my hope . I need this babe to arrive in the next few days before DH starts his new job, because he won't be able to take any time off and we have no one to help us.
