It's strange how everything else stops subconsciously based on those could have been milestones. Ah, well, I'm already trying to cook up plans-- a day a the laundromat Monday, perhaps, washing all of the comforters in the house, getting the light stuff in order. I still need to declutter/clean the home office and do more scrapbooking for DD, but am "terrified" to think of what I will do when all of those projects are finished!
im planning on a hbac too. is your dd on the 16th or 20th? i couldnt tell from your siggy. just wondering if you are 39 weeks now? good luck w/ your hbac..i had a vbac 2 years ago that rocked but i am so excited about this hbac.

i have been vomiting in the mornings for the last 2 days. i know many women do this but this is no. 4 for me and ive never had this symptom. i dont actually have anything come up but its just vomiting saliva i guess. i dont know...so fraking gross!

as far as what to do..im just doing laundry today. maybe ill go to teh food store again. im making another chicken soup. im thinking if i go to BJ's (like Costco) and lift a bunch of heavy stuff i can start lavor. i dont know..i just thought of that so maybe thats what i will do.

I'm sad though. Yesterday, while taking a leisurely walk with my hubby, we found the dead body of one of my beloved kitties. He had been MIA for a couple of days, but that wasn't anything too abnormal for him. So yeah, my weekend is kind of sucking right now... Trying to get in a better mood.
((hugs))
i am sooo sorry about your kitty.

Just popping in quickly. It's my birthday! : And I'm sure you noticed that yesterday was my Calla's birthday - we are ELATED!!! She gave me a great present today: a few hours of sleep AND excellent breastfeeding - We had a bit of a rough time with it last night, and god it's so rewarding when it goes well!

I haven't had any time to read up very much here, but I'm wishing for the best for everyone and I'm thinking of you all.

I'm looking forward to sharing my birth story with you all soon as I have the chance. It was a wonderful experience - everything I hoped for! That's my wish for all you, too!

Hey ladies! Still here and pregnant...who knows for how long. I've been having contractions for the last hour that are varying from 5-7 mins apart, but I am afraid they are just going to putter out. What would you do to encourage contractions to stay consistant? I had the same thing happen last night and they were good contractions for 2 hours, but then went away. *sigh*

Crabbyowl, I hope you're having a baby now!

Amy Lynn, I'm sorry about your kitty

I cannot go back and look at the other posts, but to those who had mothers blessings & a surprise shower, I'm glad they went so well!

To those not feeling well, I hope you feel better!!

Today we're doing more cleaning (as slowly as possible it seems, but still getting so many little things done that make me feel so much better!) in addition to the things that need to be done daily.. it seems laundry, dishes (no dishwasher), & picking up toys never seem done!

Also, I'm working on making some curtains today. I've got the curtains for ds' playroom almost done, one window to go. Then I want to make a valance for the baby's room, and a curtain for the bathroom. The material we got does not at all match the duck theme.. but dh really, really wanted it, and I love that he wants to participate in things like picking out material for curtains, and so I let him have it without saying how much it's going to drive me NUTS that it doesn't match. I might just have to go get a new shower curtain if it bothers me as much as I think it will I've almost finished ds' hat as well, not that it's difficult, but I'm a 10-15min here and there kind of knitter these days, no time to just sit and knit. I'm so pleased with it so far & expect to finish it by tonight : And finally dh finished the baby's name 'plaque' or whatever you want to call it, I painted a wood backing & wooden letters, and dh put on hooks to hang it & glued the letters onto the backing. Just have to wait for the glue to set, then I can hang it! Her walls are still bare, so I think with the nice valance & name thingy and the couple of other little things I painted for her it'll make her room more inviting And of course I'm just rambling now so I'll stop and go get back to my sewing!

I hope that everyone enjoys their weekend!

Not a lot of time to reply to everyone's posts but I did read them all! ELV's to mamas thinking labor is coming! : to those hoping for labor soon. It's so hard to know how close we are to holding our little loves and not get a little impatient! They'll be here soon mamas and for now, comfy inside of you is the best place for them. Mamas with discomforts, I sure hope you can find relief soon or, maybe you'll just birth your baby and that will get rid of the yucky feelings!

Another beautiful day here in my world. DH just ran out to the grocery store for a few things and little Ally Rae just finished nursing and we cuddled for a bit longer (I love after she lets go and just lays on my breast with her little mouth barely open with a little drop of milk sitting on her lower lip). She's now sleeping in her Boppy and giving me a min to drop by here. My Mom is going by Babies R Us to get me a hand pump since that's something the LLL leader here recommended for me. I just need to get to the point that my nipple will soften enough that Ally Rae can get a good latch and empty me herself. I'm able to get a lot of milk out when I manually express but the breast just won't soften. I'm not really in a lot of pain with this but I sure wish I could nurse on this side. Wish me luck!

Good to see a more "chatty" thread again!

ND on the loss of your sweet furbaby.

crosscat Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!

Megan Sounds like you're getting a lot done! I want to learn how to make curtains. Everyone says they're not hard but for some reason I find them to be intimdating

Tara GL with getting enough milk out that Ally Rae can have an easier time latching on. You may find it gets easier as your milk supply works itself out to her demand and as her little mouth gets bigger! I found that expressing with hand pump helped soften my breasts for my babes too.

PW Glad the shopping went well! And I'm glad you like my website I try to make it helpful!

More AAM I'm just pleased because we got the birth tub yay!!! Still need to do a little rearranging of the den before I'll be completely content to know we're "ready" - but it's a huge comfort to have the tub here and the infant seat in the car... and everything else has been ready a couple of weeks!

We did take the kids to the corn maze this afternoon and between all three mazes DH thinks we walked about 5 miles lol! The employees joked they hadn't had a baby born in the maze yet this year I got some good bh's while walking that felt very nice and opening. Even though I think labor is a couple of weeks off I love feeling like I'm softening and opening for my babe already

Neveryoumindthere: I had a similar dream last night. Strange that this was my first dream of that ilk.

Amy Lynn- I'm so sorry about your kitty. It is so shocking to come on your pet like that. I feel for you!

PassionateWriter- My edd that I am going by is the 20th. It's the best with my LMP and my 24 day cycle. I'm 39 weeks tomorrow. Mine is technically not at my home, but it is at my MW's home, so I'm still calling it an Hbac. We live too far out for our comfort. Good luck with your 1st hbac!

Happy Birthday, Crosscat! It's so nice to have your birthday one day away from your DD's!

AAM: I've had kind of a crappy day. Very emotional, tired, and DH is at the end of a 4 day weekend, and doesn't want anything to do with hanging out with me. I realize he's feeling pressure to finish the house (not like it'll get done any time soon with his solid work right now) so is working like a fiend after our family day yesterday. I just want to have some fun before I'm all consumed with this new LO, you know? Saw a girlfriend and her kids today, at a crazy crowded park, and it was nice to be away from the waiting game in my house for once. Still, I didn't get a nap, so I don't know how beneficial it was.

Oh! I did have a banana split, however. It may be one of my last ice cream treats, as I have been lactose intolerant for the past 16 years, and this pg is the first time it has gone away to the point where I can enjoy yummy treats like that.

Thought i'd chime in here even though the day is almost over. I haven't been on since Friday, wow, what an explosion of babies!!! As for me I'm still preggo. Went walking yesterday and had some regular ctx for the rest of the day and into the night. They finally stopped in the middle of the night and haven't had too many since then. 39 weeks and just hangin in there. I dont' know why I think this baby will come before 40 weeks but one can hope right? My last 3 babies were 2 to 5 days late. SOooooooooooo I"m just not even gonna think about having this baby this week...ugh. Here's to a wonderful week!
