Most people won't care b/c they have the "adverse reactions are so rare and it will never happen to my child" type attitude going on.

That is heartbreaking. Everytime I question myself on my choice to not vaccinate, these stories only reinforce my decision.

Only 250,000, so that is their idea of the price of a child... Not much is it? You can't put a price on the loss of a child! But if your going to... 250,000 doesn't even come close to what they should have to pay!!!

I would have thought reading this headline without a price added... wayyy wayy more!

What a beautiful baby. It is so sad that we as parents have to fight with the government and our doctors in order to protect our children. Enough is enough. One dead baby is one too many.

That is the maximum amount allowed in the program I believe. I agree that it is a joke of an amount. What's worse is that those who vaccinate are paying for it. The system has NO ACCOUNTABILITY. The only thing that will make the vaccine movement do real research and have accountability is to make them responsible for their actions, and right now there is none. The Georgia case may help to start to change that.

Oh, this story fills me with a fiery fury towards our government. I CANNOT imagine my son or daughter being taken from me by a vaccination, and in return receiving a grief donation and that's it. In all reality no amount would really help, but what about a viable document made for parents who trust anyone in a white coat? As far as I know, no parents are given any paperwork when they visit their pediatrician that states the risks involved with vaccinating, but they ARE given paperwork supporting vaccines and all the risks involved if they decide not to. Why aren't they shown charts of statistics like, the likelyhood of death from a vaccine vs death from mumps?

Sorry, rant over.

That picture of her moved me to tears, what a senseless loss. I hope that some yet unvacced babes parents reads that article and decides to do some research. I am glad that the parents got some form of recognition that her death was caused by the vacc... that in itself is prob. worth more to them than the money.

that picture broke my heart. what a senseless, awful loss.

i couldnt help but notice the amount of parents who, i ASSUME, are mostly local whose children were injured by vaxes. and that's just in that area. i did see Gitti's response, which made me happy.

heartbreaking

too bad the story didn't report more of the details. what would the media outlet be afraid of...that if they shared the details maybe more parents would think twice about vaxxing?!

I think it's more that big pHARMa will cut their advertisements. That could ruin a paper, TV or radio station. That is how things are being censured and totally controlled. With $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

People have to start demonstrating and demand accountability and the truth, doggone it!
